*(Lodicator: a tool used on ships to calculate and display the stresses on the hull, ensuring safe loading and stability by calculating bending moments and shear forces at various points.)
Location: Aboard Levi Wisdom
AK meticulously compared the cargo plan with the containers on board. Nothing seemed suspicious. Satisfied, he turned his attention to the Loadicator, checking the ballast to ensure the ship's stability for the upcoming voyage. As he noted the ship's departure time, the door to the ship's office opened.
Captain Abraham stepped in, his presence commanding yet approachable. AK immediately stood up out of respect.
"No need for formalities," Abraham said with a casual wave.
"Okay, sir," AK replied, taking his seat again.
The captain glanced at the Loadicator screen and stability records. "Everything running smoothly, Chief?"
"As of now, everything is good, sir."
Abraham chuckled. "That's a sailor's life—never knowing what the next moment will bring." His expression turned serious. "Take care, Chief. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. You're new to this ship, after all."
"Sure, sir. Thank you."
Abraham nodded, then asked, "Have you submitted all your joining documents to the Third Officer?"
"Not yet, sir."
"No problem," Abraham said. "I'll check the cargo list and plan. Meanwhile, bring your documents. We're sailing out tomorrow, so we need everything in order."
"Understood, sir."
AK left the ship's office, heading to his cabin to retrieve his documents. With departure imminent, every detail had to be perfect.
