Chapter 7: The First Red Flag

Location: Aboard Levi Wisdom

AK stepped out of the ship's office, but his mind was still focused on Anish's behavior. Something's off. The nervous Third Officer wasn't just inexperienced—he was hiding something. And as an undercover agent, AK couldn't ignore even the smallest oddity.

He headed toward the bridge, maintaining his usual calm, but inside, his instincts were on high alert. The mission was clear: work as Chief Officer while secretly investigating the cargo. Any mistake could put the entire crew at risk—and jeopardize his cover.

The ship's deck bustled with activity. Crew members prepared for departure, securing equipment and running final checks. The air smelled of salt and oil, a reminder of the journey ahead. AK took a slow breath, scanning every detail, every movement.

As he climbed the steps to the bridge, he caught sight of Anish again. The Third Officer was handing documents to the Captain, his hands slightly unsteady. Abraham frowned as he reviewed them.

"Chief, come here," the Captain called.

AK walked over. "Yes, sir?"

Abraham tapped a section of the crew list. "Anish, you missed an entry here. And why does this section have a correction mark? What's going on?"

Anish hesitated. "Sir… I—I must have made a mistake while updating the list."

AK narrowed his eyes. A mistake? Or a cover-up?

The Captain sighed. "Fix it properly. Chief, double-check his work before submission."

AK nodded. "Understood, sir."

As Anish turned away, AK watched him carefully. His gut told him this wasn't just about an incorrect crew list. There was something bigger at play. He needed to find out what—before it was too late.

The mission had just begun.
