Chapter 1

Ivy's POV

"Argggghhh! I really like him, Dad!"I said while giggling.

He kept shaking his head. "It's obvious, kid, you're melting him with just a glance," he replied as we entered the house.

We have a dinner with Salvador. I met the son of Salvador, he's Gabriel Salvador. He's sitting across from me at the table, so I have a chance to stare at him so long.

"Dad, can I come with you tomorrow to the company?"I asked him."

I'm only going there to see Gab, he's there because Dad and his Daddy are business partners.

He nodded in agreement. I was overjoyed because it agreed.

I almost fell when Ate bumped into me as she passed by, and she didn't even say sorry. I just sighed.

I'm packing my things now, Dad and I are heading to the company. It's six in the morning, and there's an emergency, so we're in a hurry.

"Hurry up, Ivy!"shouted Dad from downstairs."

"Yes, I'm coming down now!"I shouted and quickly went down. When I got downstairs, I found my sister already dressed.

Is she coming with us?

"Are you coming, Sister?"my surprised question."

What's with her? It's strange because she never goes to the company no matter what Dad says, why has the wind changed?

She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, so what if I go with you and Dad? It's bad?" she said.

I just shrugged because Dad arrived, coming from the comfort room, and he asked us to go out and leave.

The trip was a bit long, but there was no traffic, so we arrived quickly. We got out of the car and entered the company.

We headed straight to the elevator. While we were going up, I just now noticed what my sister was wearing. She was wearing a satin backless black dress and her mid-length hair was down. Her outfit is so sexy, while I'm wearing a white Korean dress with a blazer. I also have a body shape, but it's not as sexy as my sister.

I looked down. I'm feeling insecure.

When the elevator opened, Gab step out at the office same time. He was in formal attire, extremely handsome. I was staring at him when he smiled at me.

‘Wow, he smiled at me’

I was about to call when my sister bumped into me and she waved at Gab. They even kissed each other cheeks when my sister got close, and at the same time, Gab held my sister's waist.

I'm crying out of frustration. Did she go with him? Why are they so close? She knows that I like Gab.

I only approached them when Dad called me.

A few weeks have passed since we went to the company, and I've also noticed that my sister often goes out for important matters or hangout with her friends, I don't mind it. It's more peaceful when she's not here at home, because she shouts at our house keepers whenever they make a small mistake or even just a slight movement.

I was looking for Mom and Dad when I passed by Dad's office room here at home. The door was slightly open, so I come over and hear my Mom and Dad's conversation.

"The company's rates have dropped, also some company rejecting the offers, even the company's shares..."Dad said while he tightly closed him eyes.

"What are we going to do, Hon?"Mom said while massaging Dad's shoulder.

"We don't have a choice, one of our daughter will have an arranged marriage," Dad sighed while holding his temple.

I was surprised by what Dad said, arranged marriage? One of us?

"Just Ivy, Vivory has something to take care of," Mom said, Ate was her favorite.

I slammed the door open and they looked at me in shock.

"Really Mom, me? Why? Well, Ate was your favorite daughter" I said, almost crying.

"Child.."

"Shut up dad, are you really going to arrange me with someone I didn't know? I don't want to, I won't agree! I won't marry a—"I couldn't finish what I was saying when my own mother slapped me.

"You have no right to raise your voice at us!" Mom said angrily."

"Whether you like it or not, we will arrange marriage you!"

"What's going on here?"We turned around when someone spoke, it was Ate.

"Why are y'all shouting? It hurts my ears, and what did I heard, Arrange Marriage? Who and to whom?"she asked, raising her thick eyebrows.

"Ivy, she will marry the son of Rhafael, it's Gabriel." Dad said while looing at us one by one.

W-what? Gab and I are getting married?

"NOOO! No way! Gab is my boyfriend, why are you marrying Ivy to him‽” Ate shouted at Dad.

“What? Gab is your boyfriend? You know I like him, and you steal him"I shouted, glaring at her.

"So what? He was never yours from the start, so he's mine—”

"Vivory, sorry child but our company is at the bad stage. I need to do this that's my final decision," Dad said while seriously looking at me and my sister.

“No! I WILL NEVER EVER AGREE!"she said and walk out.

Mom followed her. Only Dad and I were left inside, it was so quiet. All I can hear is the pounding of my heart and the voices in my head.

'Gab and I getting married? But Ate and him are together, did I steal him?'

There's a part of me that's happy because Gab will be my husband, but I took him away from Ate.

Without a word, I left the room. I heard Dad calling me, but I just kept walking until I reach the door and leave him.
