Chapter 6

I want to apologize to Aria and resolve the hatred in Alaric's heart. I don't want to see him torment himself for a lifetime.

So no matter how he tortured or humiliated me, I thought I could endure it.

But later I realized that the hand I thought I was extending to Alaric wasn't pulling him out of the quagmire of hatred.
