Chapter 79: No, 10% Is Too Little. I Want Half.

"Come on, Ichiraku Ramen, Ichiraku Ramen!"

As soon as he entered the village gate, Naruto was already hungry and thirsty. Just as he was about to dash toward Ichiraku Ramen, he was suddenly pulled back by the scruff of the neck!

Naruto turned his head to see who was holding him. Who would dare stop him at such a critical moment? Damn it, didn't they know that stopping someone from eating is like killing their parents?! But when he looked, it turned out to be his brother. With a pitiful expression, Naruto said, "Brother, why are you dragging me back?" His brother would never stop him from eating Ichiraku Ramen… right?

"Give me your luggage. Yours too," Menma said to Naruto and the others. The three of them obediently handed over their backpacks.

"Shadow Clone Technique!"

Three shadow clones appeared.

Menma pointed and assigned tasks. "Errand No. 1, go to Sasuke's house," he said, handing Sasuke's backpack to the first clone, who looked at Menma helplessly before vanishing with it.

"Errand No. 2, head to Sakura's house."

"Errand No. 3, take mine and head home!"

Done! Menma looked at the three of them and grinned. "Isn't it better to travel light when we're going to eat?"

Naruto gave his brother a big thumbs-up. Sasuke and Sakura quickly nodded. This way, they didn't have to go home first—perfect.

Kakashi, however, looked at Menma with melancholic eyes. That was definitely intentional.

"Ahem… Menma, could you help me out too?" Kakashi asked, holding out his backpack.

Menma didn't take it. Instead, he extended his right hand and smiled. "Mr. Kakashi, I'd love to help, but the errand service is now paid. Please fork over the fee!"

Suddenly, an idea struck Menma—an errand service! With his near-unlimited chakra, creating shadow clones wasn't a problem. The business might not be lucrative at first, but little by little, it adds up.

His eyes gleamed. He thought of a certain group—it was feasible! He needed investors. Of course, the best person for that was Tsunade. If Tsunade, as Hokage, joined in, it would mean support from Konoha itself. Maybe it could even become a public service.

Pay? Sasuke and Sakura didn't need to! Double standards! Kakashi decided not to rely on Menma. What, like he didn't know how to use the Shadow Clone Technique?

"Shadow Clone Technique." Kakashi split off a clone, tossed the backpack to it, and the clone disappeared.

"No need now," Kakashi said coolly, striding ahead.

Menma just smiled and shook his head, walking along as the others followed closely.

Ichiraku Ramen:

When Uncle Ichiraku saw Menma and the others, he greeted them with a wide smile. "Menma, Naruto, you're here! How many bowls will it be today?"

Without hesitation, Naruto shouted, "Uncle Ichiraku, I want 18 bowls!"

"Got it!" Uncle Ichiraku got to work immediately.

Nani?! 18 bowls?! How were they supposed to eat that much?!

Sakura stared at Naruto in shock. "Isn't that a bit much?" she asked. There were only five of them—each would have to eat more than three bowls. How could they finish it?

"Not much," Naruto explained. "My brother eats 10 bowls, I eat 3, Sasuke 3, Sakura 1, Kakashi-sensei 1."

Kakashi was a little offended. "Why do I only get one bowl?" He shot Naruto a dissatisfied glance, then looked at Uncle Ichiraku. "Add two more for me."

Anyway, Menma was paying.

"Got it!" Uncle Ichiraku replied with excitement, working even faster. If there were no other customers, he might've started singing out of joy.

Soon, five bowls were served—one for each person to start. They immediately dug in; they were really hungry.

Naruto: Huh (`)

Menma: Woo woo (`)

Sasuke: Huh (`)

Sakura: Woohoo (`)

Kakashi: Woohoo (`)

Uncle Ichiraku's heart bloomed with happiness seeing them enjoy his ramen. As a chef, nothing was more fulfilling than guests loving your food.

So, he sped up even more.

After scarfing down three bowls, Kakashi stood up. "I'm heading off first."

"Take care, Mr. Kakashi," Sakura said politely. She had finished her one bowl early on.

"Woooooo…" the others said through stuffed mouths, unclear but likely meaning the same.

Menma was still going. Sakura was already stunned by his appetite. She never imagined Menma could eat that much.

"Uncle Ichiraku, another 10 bowls," Menma said after finishing his tenth.

Sakura: Still going?! (O_o)??

Then Menma looked at the three of them and said, "You don't have to wait for me. Go ahead and head back."

Sasuke nodded and invited Naruto to his house. Naruto looked at his brother first, then nodded.

Sakura, hearing that Sasuke invited Naruto, immediately chimed in, "I'll come too!"

Sasuke wanted to refuse, but Naruto said, "Sure! The more, the merrier."

Sasuke:  ̄□ ̄||

The three left, leaving Menma to fight the ramen alone. No one knew how many bowls he had by the end. All they knew was that Uncle Ichiraku closed the shop once Menma finally left.

After eating and drinking his fill, Menma went to the Hokage's office.

"Menma, you're here!" Tsunade's eyes sparkled. She hadn't expected Menma to visit on his own.

"Lady Hokage, I came to see if you'd like to invest. You don't have to do anything, and you get 10% of the shares. What do you think?" Menma offered.

Do nothing and get 10%? That wasn't like Menma. Could it be because he knew she was aware of his actions in the Land of Waves? Was he trying to buy her off?

It seemed the profit from the Land of Waves was even greater than she imagined.

"Let's hear it first," Tsunade replied.

Menma laid out the entire plan.

After hearing it, Tsunade couldn't help but wonder what exactly was inside Menma's brain—how did he even come up with this stuff?

Then she said, "I'll think about it. But let's talk about something else. Someone robbed the local tycoon Gato and made off with all his wealth. Does that ring a bell?"

Menma's face froze. Σ(⊙▽⊙")

How did Tsunade know?! Impossible—he'd had Kurama watching the whole time.

Menma immediately retreated into his mind to interrogate Kurama.

"Kurama, did you do something after taking the money? How did Gato's situation get exposed?!"

Kurama, pushing up imaginary glasses, responded confidently: "Impossible."

"You sure?"

"Of course! I'm Kurama, I stand by my word!"

Menma: "..."

Then how did she find out?

"Fine. I'll give you 10%," Menma conceded, "but only if you tell me how you found out."

Tsunade smirked. "No, 10% is too little. I want half."

Nani?! Half?!
