Chapter 13 - Clash of Titans
Thegarroth looked at these people that had suddenly appeared, then he steered the stallion which flew towards them.
Once he appeared before them, he surprisingly asked with patience in his tone, "Who are you, and what do you want?"
"We are here to claim this land for ourselves. So, it's better you and the ants you call soldiers run off, before you are reduced to nothing." The one with intense crimson eyes and fluttering, long violet hair who was an elegant-looking woman, said with complete arrogance and disdain in her tone.
Thegarroth heard this and only smiled.
Then he calmly asked, "Where are you dogs from?"
Hearing what Thegarroth called them, the man and woman standing before him had their eyes gleam, great anger erupting from a great depth within their eyes.
"First of all, we are not dogs. So, mind the way you speak to us. Secondly, we are from a region a thousand times greater than yours, which is like a drop in the ocean when compared to ours. That's where we are from."
"So, it's advised you and the roaches you call soldiers scurry away while we are still in a good mood to tolerate your existence in this region." The armored man wielding the heavy mystical hammer said. His tone giving off contempt for Thegarroth, and great pride in what he is and where he was from.
Thegarroth looked at them and said with his brows furrowed, "I see."
Then he spoke further, "Would you dogs like to know where I am from?"
Getting no replies from them except really deep frowns that warped their faces, Thegarroth continued, totally unbothered by their facial expressions, "I am from a kingdom that, though it might be really small when compared to yours, it is many times better than yours."
"Actually, the large and grand kingdom or whatever it is that you guys are proud of, can only exist as a speck of great insignificance behind mine."
The woman looked at him and said with palpable indignation in her voice, "I see you are the adamant type. And adamant fools like yourself always get killed in the end. I will tolerate you for a few seconds more."
Thegarroth looked at them and said, his voice becoming louder, "You killed a soldier of mine and just want me to back out just like that? What do you ducks think you are?"
"I will give you rotheads a few seconds more to return to the stinking swamp you emerged from, or face obliteration by me."
Immediately he said that, the atmosphere around them began to crack with palpable tension.
The man and woman gazed at Thegarroth who gazed back at them, their gazes connecting and causing the space before them to seemingly distort.
Seizing the initiative, Thegarroth jumped off his Winged Blackflame Stallion which immediately flew back to the sky, seemingly understanding that it should not be in the way.
BANG!!
Thegarroth sent out a punch, which instantly conjured the appearance of a destructively potent wave that shot towards the duo with mountain-stripping force.
The man who wielded the large hammer, dashed out and effortlessly swung his massive hammer at the roaring wave, causing a terrifying boom to immediately ring out. This instantly resulted in the devastation of the earth—for miles beneath them. Also, it caused an enormous cloud of dust to violently surge towards the sky. The force possessed by this eruption was enough to reduce mortals to blood mists.
However, the three of them remained standing, seemingly unbothered by the destruction that just happened.
Suddenly, the hammer-wielding arm of the green armored man began to twitch, intense sensation of pain eating up the tissues and muscles within that arm.
He however tried to maintain his composure, or Thegarroth would sense it and go for another strike against him.
Thegarroth looked at the man that moved forward to receive his attack—which was just to size them up and nodded his head, acknowledging that he was pretty strong. Then he prepared to unleash more but stronger attacks.
Swiftly, the woman moved forward and screamed at him, unleashing a focused but loud and sharp, ear-splitting screech that instantly sent Thegarroth flying for many miles into the distance.
The screech had both physical and mystical properties to it. It had many times the force of a mountain-valley-crushing explosion, the ability to bypass through powerful shields or defenses, and the uncanny capability to badly affect the hearing, vision, organs, and soul of anyone that was targeted by it for a long time.
After knocking Thegarroth far away, causing his powerful sense of hearing to plummet, and his superhuman vision to grow slightly blurry, the woman quickly looked at her colleague and asked with a concerned tone in her voice, "Are you okay?"
"I will be. That bastard's first attack was really heavy. If it had been slightly stronger than that, my arm would have been reduced to bloody shreds." The man said, his face sweaty, and his breathing heavy. Even his heart was pounding faster than normal.
What sort of strength does that man possess?
Only if they had seen the phenomenal feat of strength that he pulled earlier, then they would have easily comprehended the type of power that coursed through his towering, muscular body.
"Is he that strong? He is only the ruler of a small kingdom that any slightly larger kingdom can bully or walk upon."
"Why would he have the strength to go against the twelfth-rank Hammersguard of the Sky Raven City?" The woman asked, her voice filled with worry and concern for her colleague who seemed to be doing pretty bad with every passing second.
Quickly, the woman produced a pill which she gave to the hammer-wielding man who immediately swallowed it after recognizing what it was.
Thegarroth, who was knocked into the distance—several miles away by the powerful, force-unleashing screech of the woman dressed in white, stood to his feet, his face filled with wrath. He had quickly recovered from the soul-crushing scream attack unleashed by the woman, which was a testament to his rapid healing ability.
Then with a single leap as he couldn't fly, shooting through the sky like a furious meteor from several miles away, he landed a few feet before the duo who immediately braced themselves for another terrifying attack from him.
However, the woman didn't let him unleash any attack as she immediately screamed into the distance, projecting her powerful, ear and heart-rending voice in every direction, causing many of the Blue Crescent soldiers to fall to the ground, dead. The same occurred to the Nhongluh tribesmen who painfully held their heads and collapsed to the ground, their torn, bleeding eyes gouged out of their sockets.
Thegarroth quickly noticed what happened and his anger shot through the roof. Now, their differences were irreconciliable.
Instantly, his body let off a violently roiling blue aura that caused the air around him, and for hundreds of feet to become a rampaging deadly storm. And it was so powerful that the ground beneath him cracked, resulting in deep fissures that extended like the tentacles of a blood-hungry demon into the distance.
Whoosh!
He suddenly dashed towards the woman and sent out a punch that the woman tried to block by instantly conjuring a vast illusionary mountain around her. Though it was an illusion, it would however feel real to the eyes of onlookers.
This was a mountain-conjuring skill possessed by the woman, which would allow her to evoke the swift appearance of a towering illusory mountain that was however a thousand times stronger and more resilient than naturally occurring mountains.
As for Thegarroth who sent out his fist in pure rage, though it was an ordinary punch with no mystical complexities surrounding it, it however seemed to be backed by the weight of the world.
Just the intent behind the punch seemed to darken the sky around them, and the ground to groan like it were being pressed upon by an unimaginably powerful force that it couldn't contain or handle.
BANG!!!
His fist struck into the enormous illusory mountain with a terrifying earth-shaking force, shattering it into countless fragments and instantly hurtling the now-bloodied woman out of it to a tremendously great distance—thousands of meters away where her gravely injured body blasted with immense shattering power through lots of structures that it came across.
