Chapter 12

[On the other side of the town manor]

Mama opened the front door of the manor, as it was time for the family to head home, only to be hit with such a fierce wind that made her shut the door immediately.

"Goodness!" she gasped, shutting the door, "there seems to be a strong storm outside" she told her family as she turned to face them

"That's odd, the horses didn't show any sign that there would be a storm tonight" said Renault, he considered the horses quite perceptive and they never once failed to forewarn him of an upcoming storm. It is especially odd as it is but the end of summer.

"It is odd" Pa agreed looking out the narrow window that was by the door.

Renart couldn't care less about any storm, it only meant one thing to him, "So we are going back to party then?" he asked with a grin.

The whole family looked at him. It wasn't like they had any other option.

"Well, it seems the only…" Gosforth was saying, before he could complete his sentence however, Renart had already shouted "Awesome!" and left the foyer, headed back to the ball room.

The other brothers followed one after the other. They were having a swell time and the presence of the storm, only meant it is to be continued.

The last standing in the foyer were Pa and Mama and the ever-serious Gosforth.

"Let's go back in, Ma" he said leading his mother and Pa back inside

"I do hope Arba is okay at home" Mama said lowly before reentering the ball room.

[Outside the town manor]

Morgetha knew it was time to implement her supplementary power to get she, her brother and Arba out of there. She had to make a portal.

While she was opening the portal, the other earth elemental seemed to have noticed them and was sending sharp shards of earth their way, she tried to open it faster but she was a bit rusty. Just in time, before the shards could impale them, they got into the portal with Caleb.

Arba was surprised as they landed in a room that obviously belonged to a royal. They were outside the town manor grounds, in the middle of what seemed to be a storm and the next second, as they passed through the portal, they were in this bedroom.

"Don't worry, we are still in Neverland. It is Caleb's bedroom" Morgetha said by way of explanation.

"Oh okay" said a jumbled Arba, who was finding it hard to take it all in. It was too much for one night, maybe she should have just stayed home in her bed.

Morgetha looked at the girl who she had been seeing in her visions, who is somehow connected to her, the girl who is supposed to have powers that can make someone powerful according to some Magus prophecy; she didn't look all that to her. All Morgetha saw was a tired, confused and scared girl who was about a couple years her junior and who was still firmly convinced that she possessed no powers. Though, even Morgetha could sense the girl's powers.

Morgetha considered Arba for a moment, the events of tonight seemed too much for the girl, hell, it was even too much for her and she has known about her powers since she was five. She had even seen glimpses of tonight in her previous visions.

"I am going back to help mother" Morgetha said to Arba as she stood up from the bed where she sat beside the still unconscious Caleb, "You may stay here with Caleb if you want. It might be the safer option for you"

Arba considered staying here in the safety of this room for but a short minute, before shaking her head and deciding to go with Morgetha. She may be confused as hell, scared to her bones, but still this was her fight. They came for her, she had to go and face them and not leave Morgetha to fight her battle for her. Somehow, inside her she knew she would be able to defeat them, she felt it in her bones.

Plus, she needs to get this whole fiasco done with and be home before her family.

"Alright then, let's go beat an old order of powerful sorcerers that want to take your powers in a way that might potentially kill you, all because of the words of some prophecy" Morgetha said

"And did I fail to mention that we have no way at all of winning this fight with my vision and portals and your no-show powers against their elementals and magic?" Morgetha added

"Um… when you put it that way…" Arba was getting cold feet as doubt of her abilities and fear began creeping up her spine.

"Come on, I'm just playing with you. Let's go kick some sorcerers' asses" Morgetha said with an assuring smile that had the right effect on Arba who smiled back.

Before they went back, they made a stop at Morgetha's room, equipping themselves with some weapons before passing back through a portal.

Morgetha may be a princess with powers, but Arsila would be damned if she let any of her children grow without weapon skill in this dangerous world. Arba wasn't previously trained but at least she knew how to use a stick or a dagger. They really hoped whatever powers she may have would come forth.

As the passed through the portal and landed back at the scene of chaos, things were worse than they left it. All the Magus were out save Fuhrer who was still in heavy magical combat with his daughter. Arsila, it seemed, was getting tired. Misera was nowhere in sight.

"Mother!" Morgetha exclaimed as she saw her mother falling to the ground.

As Arsila fell to the ground, the maddening haze cleared from Fuhrer's eyes, he had no intention to kill his daughter. He ran to check if she was okay. She was still breathing.
