The car window was lowered all the way down by Vernon to let in some air. The wind caressed my sticky skin, I was hyper-aware of what we had just done in the car.
I stayed on top of him for a while. When I felt him moving, I tried to move out of his way.
"Oh sorry, I am too heavy."
He wrapped his arms around my middle, pulling me close again, and refused to let go.
"Nonsense, you are as light as the cloud."
Eventually, I sat back in my passenger seat, I grabbed a tissue to wipe off, and he did the same. He took a look at me, and by then I was already presentable again. He nodded and then started the car again, but this time he turned on the radio.
We were driving with the soft tune on the radio, I looked out the window, there was still nothing much, there were just empty fields. I got bored.
"Where are we going?"
"To my father's region, I took this road because there is not much traffic here. So he wouldn't be expecting us."
That was understandable. But why?
