Everyone was ready for their role in this war.

All the twenty Alphas went to Blackwood Manor for one final meeting with my husband. Most of them didn’t anticipate the urgency of the situation. But because the life of our son was in danger, all were eager to start a war that was two weeks earlier than we all expected.

I stared at the mirror after I pulled my long brown hair into a ponytail and saw the pearl on my vanity table. Even in distance, I could feel its power calling me. The darkness inside it looked as if it were holding a universe inside it. Swirling, twinkling, and glimmering until I felt as if my soul was being sucked inside. As if it were completely overwhelming me with its beauty and control.

“Luna Holly,” I almost jumped when a soldier knocked on the door and yelled, “Your grace, the Alpha wants your presence in the main hall.”
