CHRISTIAN POV
I sat in my office, running my hands through my hair as my mother's words echoed in my mind.
“They look so similar to you when you were their age,”
”You need to go for a paternity test to find out the truth.”
I clenched my jaw, staring out through the window, my fingers drummed on my desk, with impatience as I thought of my next move.
If what my mother said was true, and Emily's children were mine, that would change everything.
I needed to find out as soon as possible as the only way to know the truth was a paternity test.
My mouth turned sour as I thought back to my conversations with Emily since she returned.
She hated me and she would never allow me to take the paternity test. I groaned inwardly as I tried to come up with a plan.
There was a soft knock on the door and I sat up, leaning back on the chair, gathering my thoughts.
“Come in,” I called out.
