Chapter 37

EMILY'S POV

THE DAY BEFORE SIGNING THE CONTRACT

I leaned down over my desk, reading the last part of the contract. I had spent five hours scouring over the details over and over again. I couldn't afford any mistakes, not when I was so close to victory.

The future for my pack rested on this contract and I couldn't let anything go wrong.

I made sure I understood everything. The clauses and terms before I finally leaned back in my seat. A rapt knock echoed through my office and I looked up.

“Come in,” I answered and James walked in, holding a demo of the contract in his hands.

“I’ve gone through the whole contract, It's perfect, we are set for signing now.” He said, sitting opposite me.

I nodded in response.”I've also gone through it.” I told him. I picked up my office phone and called my Chief legal advisor, Daria, to my office.

When I dropped the phone, James' eyes were examining me.

“You're very tense.” He observed.
