EMILY'S POV
My heart raced as I matched up the stairs to Christian's office. I had promised myself I would never return here but I had no choice, Christian had gone too far this time.
Rage simmered within me as my mind drifted to the tear-stained faces of my children still trembling with fear from the kidnapping attempt. Every step I took closer to him, felt like a storm was about to erupt in me.
I should have known better, how did I forget so fast the type of man Christian was? I should have never let him near my kids, not even when he pleaded with me and now because of my mistake, they were almost taken away from me.
I burst through the door of his office, the dark figure of Christian standing by the window, his back turned from me, looking down at some files in his hands.
He turned to me, his eyes widening a little when he saw me and with one look at my murderous expression, his face dropped sensing something was wrong.
