THE NEXT DAY
My hands gripped the steering wheel as I drove to the children's school. I was a little late today and Emily's warning about Christian’s threat was echoing in my mind. I shouldn't be taking chances, but I got held up in a few meetings.
I checked my watch impatiently, I was only a few minutes late, so I tried to calm myself down.
I had two extra pairs of bodyguards in the car behind me, just to ensure their safety. As I got closer to the community kindergarten school, I felt unease in my guts as I noticed something was off.
There were two black cars parked right in front of the entrance to the school building. Cars weren't allowed to park in front of the building, there was a parking lot for cars just down the driveway.
I narrowed my eyes looking at the playground where the boys usually played before they were picked, but I couldn't spot any of them.
