EMILY'S POV
I sat in the hospital room, adjusting the bandages on my arm, making sure they weren't too tight.
Different emotions whirled through me as I thought back to how the night played out. So many feelings swirled in my mind when I saw Christian drowning. I couldn't bear to see him like that, just the thought of losing him– was too much to bear.
The door slowly creaked open and I looked up, my eyes meeting James's. He stepped inside, his gaze immediately falling onto my bandages and bruises on my arm.
He winced when he saw the extensive cuts, his face twisted in pain.”Alpha Emily, I think you should stay here a few more days till the doctors would make sure healed.” He urged.
“No, I need to leave now. The boys need me at home.” I shook my head.
He hesitated for a moment. Obviously he wanted to argue and make sure I stayed here longer but then he sighed in resignation. ”Fine, I'll drive you home.” He said.
