Damian’s Pov

I watched them from a distance, joining them in their steps, my eyes following Alpha Hades and Anita as they made their way down the hall. They seemed oddly well-matched, their strides in sync as if they’d walked side-by-side for years. It was hard not to notice the strange connection between them, one I hadn’t seen in Alpha Hades before.

I couldn't help but smile sheepishly, “They’re such a good match,” I thought to myself, a pang of regret filling my chest. “Why did she have to be married?”

Just then, an employee hurried toward us, holding a stack of documents. I recognized him as one of the new hires—young, eager, and a bit too outspoken. His gaze shifted from me to the Alpha, and then, when he spotted Anita, his face twisted into an expression of anger.
