Alex no demon volume 7 chapter 2(The three years of training arc)

As ranpo was up on a hill infront of his house grilling some meat, he said to himself "Its a good thing i killed some cows on my way here, I'm about to have a feast.", he looked at the clear sky and said to himself "Just looking at the sky gives me nostalgia, It's like I'm back in my teen days. Well whatever, those are all memories now, so it doesn't matter. All I can do is just reflect on it now." After his monologue, everywhere seemed quiet due to the forest areas around them, the house ranpo was living in was one that was in the middle of the forest untop of a hill, although it was hard to spot. While he kept frying the grill, he heard a very powerful explosion from the training area alex was in, he turned back and said to himself "Well it's about time he finished his early morning training.", alex comes back from the training area while walking up the hill, his red hoodie and and black joggers were roughed up, his hair was messy and he looked bummed out. Alex let's out a sigh and exclaimed lazily while holding the leg he ripped off from the rock Knight he fought "Grandpaaaaa, I'm done now! Can I please go take a bath now?", alex asked with a lazy attitude, ranpo replied him with a firm response "No!". This made alex slightly annoyed as he exclaimed in annoyance "OH COME ON! WHY NOT?!", ranpo replied to alex while eating some meat he just grilled "Coz I say so." This statement from ranpo made alex even more annoyed "God damn it all!", he exclaimed as he was walking away, ranpo then tilts his head to alex and says "I was just kidding you fool of a student!", alex just turned while still annoyed but with his annoyance disappearing "Yeah whatever.", he then walks into the house. Alex gets into the bathroom, he takes of his cloths and started to take a shower, while doing so, he was having an inner monologue "Wow, can't believe I'm 13 already. The events of whatever I've been through in the city with all the crazy missions and assassination exams were all just in a span of 6 months, that's insane tho. I heard from a couple of people on the street that our set are surprisingly the fastest to be promoted to C-rank. Hm, I guess we're all impressive." Alex walks out of the shower and into his room, he puts on a white plain shirt and some black shorts, he was having another inner monologue while dressing up "Man, I'm starting to miss raquel. It's been over a month since I left for my three years of training, and I'm already missing her voice. Well I'll be going back to the city from time to time, so I guess we can still see each other and play together.". After getting dressed, alex just walks out and gets a cold drink from the freezer, he walks out of the house with his hair slightly wet while drinking a bottle of cold drink. As he gets out, he saw that ranpo had already prepared a plate of meat for him, alex just smiled in excitement "Wow, that's a lot of meat. I didn't think you'd just give me everything all at once, gramps.", ranpo replied to alex "Well, you are in your three years of training period, and you still have time to grow, so some meat would be good. And plus, you eat alot, so giving you that much should satisfy you." Alex with excitement in his eyes sits on the table as he started to dig into his food, while doing so, ranpo was already wearing his armour and gear. Alex turned to ranpo and asked with confusion "Hey grandpa, where are you going?", ranpo replied "I'll be gone for a while, maybe a couple of months. In that time frame, I want you to train and become stronger, but don't over do it. You got that?", alex had a nervous and taunting smile on his face as his eyes tilted to the side "What do you mean over do it? I'd never do something as reckless as that." Ranpo then replied alex with a mildly annoyed look on his face and said to him "Last week I saw you in the forest trading blows with monkeys three times your size, and there were a hundred of them, each of them were D-ranks while the taller and stronger ones were on the low ends of C-rank.", alex while playing dumb with a smile on his face then tells ranpo "What? Oh come on, you're dragging it granpa. I didn't think most of those monkeys had energy in them, I thought they were normal, and I got caught up with them on accident.". Ranpo took a deep sigh and told alex "Look, you're not a kid anymore. You're 13, you should know how the world works now. If you have strength but with no smarts to back it up, you'll be dead in no time. If you have smarts but no strenght to back it up, you're just another person who's waiting to be a corpse. You can go train in the forest, only when you feel you're ready." Alex just sighs and says to ranpo "Fine old man, I'll play it safe.", ranpo then gives alex an item, it was a small cross, ranpo then tells alex "If you're ever in trouble, don't hesitate to slam this cross on the ground.", ranpo then tells alex "And don't use your demonic powers at all, I don't want you going nuts, that's why I told you to stay out of danger. You got it?", alex replied with a cheerfulls smile with his hand on his head like he is doing a salute "Yes sir.". Ranpo then packs up his bag and says to alex "I'll see you in a few months, take care of yourself.", alex watched as his grandfather was walking down the hill while waving at him. As ranpo walks down the hill and was heading straight, he saw kojin resting on a tree while standing, kojin turned to him "Its about time you got your ass here. Don't call me to your place and then proceed to keep me waiting.", ranpo scratched his head for a moment before stretching his hand out to kojin "Yeah, my fault buddy.", he and ranpo dap each other up and then continue to walk. Alex saw this as he just smiled softly and said to himself "Take care grandpa, see you soon."
