Chapter 2

[Age 2: You grew up in the Hilichurl camp alongside a Hilichurl baby. Your appetite was still enormous, but the camp had five Mitachurls and three Samachurls, so food was plentiful. All the Hilichurls liked you and treated you as one of their own, making sure you were well-fed every day.]

[Age 3: Thanks to the camp's good food, you grew up strong and healthy.]

[Age 4: The Hilichurls in the camp noticed your great strength and started teaching you how to hunt.]

[Age 5: A Mitachurl made you a small shield out of Otogi Wood and taught you how to perform Shield Bash and Fierce Charge.]

[Host has acquired the skills: Shield Bash and Fierce Charge.]

So, the skills learned in the life simulation could become my own!

[Age 6: The Hilichurls went out hunting and brought back a merchant caravan. You looked at the people in the cages, who looked so much like you, and felt a complex mix of emotions. That night, the Hilichurls turned the captives into a feast, but you didn't eat a single bite. From that day on, you only ate the food you hunted yourself.]

[Age 7: You began to wonder why you looked so different from the Hilichurls in the camp. You started following passing caravans, observing their lives. Slowly, you learned their language. Though you weren't very fluent, you found that human speech felt easier for you than the Hilichurls' language.]

[Age 8: You realized that you weren't a Hilichurl. You started venturing out more and found a small hill with a beautiful view. The hill became your secret base, and whenever you felt lost, you would go there alone to enjoy the scenery.]

[Age 9: While you were at your secret base, a red-haired girl appeared behind you and asked if she could sit next to you. Your choices are...]

[1. Invite her to sit.]

[2. Reject her and send her away.]

[3. Kill her and bring her back to the Hilichurl camp for a meal.]

What the heck is that third option? That's downright evil!

Of course, I'll choose 1. It's time to interact with human society, right?

"Invite her to sit," Kael gave his answer.

[The girl sat down, and you began to stutteringly communicate with her in human language. The girl, being very innocent, didn't find your clumsy speech strange at all. During your conversation, you learned that her name was Amber. When she asked for your name, you froze because you didn't have one. In the Hilichurl camp, no one used names.]

[You told the girl you didn't have a name. She happily said she would give you one, and she thought the name "Anders" was cool and suited a handsome guy like you.]

[From that day on, you had a name: Anders.]

[Age 10: You and Amber became friends. You often met at the secret base. She would share stories of her life in Mondstadt, telling you about the delicious food at the Good Hunter restaurant and complaining about how hard studying was. You also learned about her dream: she wanted to join the Knights of Favonius in Mondstadt and become a knight.]

[She wanted to protect the people of Mondstadt.]

[After hearing Amber's dream, you felt a deep sense of loss. Because your family—the Hilichurls—often harmed humans and even ate human flesh, you felt you didn't deserve to be Amber's friend anymore.]

[That day, you fled in panic, ignoring Amber's calls as she shouted after you.]

[Back at the Hilichurl camp, you walked into your tent, feeling miserable. The Hilichurl you grew up with noticed your mood and followed you in, worried.]

["DALA?" the little Hilichurl asked what was wrong. In a fit of anger, you threw your shield at him and roared in human language, "Get away from me, you monster!"]

[Your natural strength was immense. The little Hilichurl was knocked back a few steps by your shield and cried out in pain. With his pea-sized brain, he couldn't understand why you were suddenly so angry. He could only look at you helplessly, "DALA?"]

[Your adoptive mother heard the commotion in the tent and came in, looking confused as she watched you and the little Hilichurl.]

[Facing the two Hilichurls closest to you, you were faced with a difficult choice...]

[1. The Hilichurls in this camp have no defenses against you. You could easily kill them all, then return to Mondstadt and start a new human life.]

[2. Stop going to the secret base, forget about Amber, and continue living in the Hilichurl camp. Forget your human identity and stop feeling pain and confusion.]

[3. Continue living in the Hilichurl camp while keeping your identity a secret from Amber, continuing to waver between your human and Hilichurl identities.]

[Reminder: Choosing option 2 will permanently close the Amber storyline.]

Damn it!!!

Kael really wanted to return to human society, but even through the text, he could feel how much the Hilichurls in the camp had cared for him.

How could he bear to kill them all?

But if he chose option 2, he would lose the Amber storyline.

Although the system didn't explicitly say it, he could guess that delivering tragedies to characters from Genshin Impact would likely earn him higher scores!

The Amber storyline absolutely cannot be cut off!

In that case, he had to choose option 3!

"I choose to continue living in the Hilichurl camp while keeping my identity a secret from Amber."

[You calmed down and asked your adoptive mother and the little Hilichurl to leave, saying you needed some time alone. Though they were worried, they obediently left.]

[You spent a few days feeling depressed in the Hilichurl camp. You couldn't bring yourself to leave the camp, nor could you let go of Amber, your only human friend since childhood.]

[In your pain, you found yourself wandering to the secret base, where you discovered Amber waiting for you.]

[It turned out that after you suddenly ran away that day, she had been very worried. So, for the past few days, she had come to the secret base every day, waiting from morning till night, just to make sure you were okay.]

[Seeing Amber's bright smile, you made a decision. Even though you couldn't abandon your family, you could still continue being friends with her.]

[As long as you kept your identity hidden.]

[So, you pretended everything was fine and continued meeting with Amber.]

[Age 11: You continued being friends with Amber. Your meetings went from once every three days to every day. Amber became more and more dependent on you, sharing her life with you daily.]

[Age 12: Your Shield Bash and Fierce Charge skills had reached their peak. Even the Mitachurls in the camp were no match for you.]

[Age 13: Because you met Amber every day, your human language improved significantly.]

[Age 14: Life repeated the previous year's routine.]

[Age 15: Amber learned how to fly this year. She excitedly showed off her flying skills to you and said her next goal was to become Mondstadt's Gliding Champion.]

[You looked at her and couldn't help but smile fondly. When Amber saw your expression, her face turned slightly red.]

[Your body had become very muscular from years of hunting. Though still a teenager, you had a physique that surpassed most adults. Living in the Hilichurl camp with limited resources, you often went shirtless, exuding an overwhelming amount of masculine energy.]

[Amber's face turned red more and more often when she saw you. Sometimes, she would stare at your handsome face and lose herself in thought.]

[When you saw her blushing face, you also felt a strange stirring in your heart.]
