Chapter 3

[On a starry night, you and Amber sat on the small hill, chatting.] 

[For some reason, your faces drew closer and closer, and you could feel the sweet breath from her lips...] 

Kael, reading this, felt a pang of envy. 

How nice. It seems like the two of them are in love. 

He was really envious of his simulated self, who could get so close to a girl as lovely as Amber.

Amber's amber eyes, glistening with moisture, stared directly at Kael. 

"Why... why are you so good at this? Was this really your first kiss?" 

"Of course! I've only ever been close to you. You're the first girl I've ever kissed." 

Kael said without a hint of guilt. 

In this simulated life, it really was his first kiss. 

Amber stared at him for a while, finding no trace of deceit on his face, before turning her head away. 

"Hmph, if I find out you're lying to me, you're in big trouble!" 

Kael found Amber's tsundere expression utterly adorable. 

He couldn't help but pull her into his arms. 

Her soft, petite body fit perfectly in his embrace. 

Both of their faces flushed, and neither spoke, quietly savoring the tender moment. 

After a while, Amber slightly pulled away from Kael's embrace and turned to look at him seriously. 

"Anders, I like you." 

Kael gently caressed Amber's face. 

"I know. I like you too." 

Hearing Kael's confession, Amber's face lit up with a smile bright enough to illuminate the night sky. 

Seeing her smile, Kael felt as if he were under a spell, his head slowly leaning in again. 

Knowing what was about to happen, Amber shyly closed her eyes... 

[Sensory Mode time limit reached. Returning to Text Mode.] 

System, I curse your ancestors!!! 

Kael's kiss met empty air as, with the system's prompt, Amber disappeared from his arms. 

He was back in the small forest where he had started. 

Kael angrily questioned the system, "Couldn't you have waited a little longer before pulling me out?" 

[Apologies, host. Your current Sensory Mode duration is 1 hour. As the number of life simulations increases, the duration will also lengthen.] 

"Then I want to re-enter Sensory Mode now!" 

[Each life simulation allows for two Sensory Mode activations. Would the host like to use the second activation now?] 

"...I'll save it." 

After some thought, Kael decided not to use the second activation yet. 

Although the feeling of being intimate with Amber was truly amazing, who knew if there would be any unexpected events later? 

It was safer to save it.
