Sylvia was in the kitchen, helping the other maids with the cleaning up when she got a call from her master. Her master, the army head of the white coven controls the remains of the white coven since they had no leader. Obviously, her migration brought her here as a maid. She was glad that at least, she arrived safely at her coven. She bowed on seeing him.
"Burn this piece of shit for me."He threw her a piece of paper, like a letter. She picked it up and walked away. He stopped her.
"Wait, go to the Raven house. Write to the demons that we would settle for a negotiation." Sylvia was shocked. She wanted to argue but remembered her place. She bowed and walked away. Since she joined the castle, she has been his most trusted servant and she would not want to take that for granted. She opened the letter when she was in a safe place. It was from the demon king, he offered a negotiation, though the terms haven't been made. Sylvia knew it was the worst decision he could make. She knows the army head as daring and wondering why he settled for less this time. All the same, she concluded he had his reasons.

Alistair was right. Though, it's hard to take it all in. I am in the lake of fire and I'm not getting burnt. I can't even feel the heat. It's like you're thrown in a red vacuum, but discovers you're covered in just enough snow to withstand it. I would have laughed hard if I didn't have other things on my mind. I remembered Alistair survived the lake also but she still got caged by the demons afterwards and indeed they made her life miserable. Since no one can come near, they would not know I'm here if I didn't come out. I decided to stay in till they all leave. It won't be easy for me, knowing I might run out of energy anytime soon but I just hoped.

When Julian got to the castle, his body guards ran to him, worry written all over their face.
"Master, you got us really worried. The king thought you'd left." Roger got scared after Julian left that he might have gone back to the Earth like he did, decades ago when his mother died. That's probably his biggest fear. Julian must not leave.
Julian hissed. "He would like to see you immediately."Another added.
"Go tell him you have not found me." It was a command. "Where is the prisoner?"
"Which prisoner my prince?"
"Commander Claudia, the army head." He said.
"She's probably dead now Milord. She was thrown in the lake."
Julian's heart skipped a beat. What?! Alistair said she would survive the lake.
"You mean she didn't come out?" He has spilled it out before realizing how absurd it will sound to them.
"No one has ever survived the lake of fire Master. She is gone." Julian casted them both an evil glare. The atmosphere around them suddenly became thick and hot.
"Tell your king you have not found me. Disobey me and I'll kill you both myself." He hopped on his horse and rode to the lake.
He stopped few inches away. The guards at the lake were not there, they've probably gone to celebrate with the king. He stare long at the fire. Tears dropped from his eyes. He wished he could keep them away.
"Katrienair!"He roared. "You cannot die now." He laid on the hot ground and cried his eyes out, yelling out her name. "Everyone is waiting Katrienair, you can't leave now!"
** Katrienair's POV **
I heard a familiar voice call my name. I looked through the fire, discovered that my attackers had left but there was a figure on the ground, screaming my name. I knew immediately who it was. I took a step out but discovered I'd run out of energy. Shit! I swore. I'm going to die here if I don't keep moving. I began to crawl.
I placed my fragile hand on his hair and dragged it up. He was amused to see me. I had no scratch, no burn but I had little energy left in me.
"Katrienair"He gasped. I wanted to slap him or show him how annoyed I was with him but his tears touched me.
"Shut up and...help"I muttered. I hung on to his shoulder while he carried me away from the fire
When we got to a safe distance, I asked him to stop but he didn't.
"I'm taking you away from here"
"You can't do that. All gates are guarded. Don't be such an idiot."
"Shsh" I placed his hands over my mouth. "Trust me, please."
"What?!"I tried to argue but he blocked my moth with his palm. He passed through a tunnel. It was a long journey in the dark tunnel. I wondered if he would not get stressed by my weight.
"Ain't you tired?"I whispered. He only blocked my mouth more. I had to give up and just watch.
After a long walk in the tunnel, we came out to a bright city. Dusk has come and I could see commoners rush to get to their home.
"Where are we?"I asked. "You can drop me now. It's embarrassing."
"Katrienair, you don't have enough strength. Relax okay? Please..."
He walked into a brothel and bought a room. I could feel all eyes on me. Most of their thoughts were full of hatred and jealousy towards me. Just as expected. But I was curious on the place we were.
Julian opened up the room with his elbow and walked in. It was a big one, had two beds in it, beautifully arranged. He laid me on the bed and sat. Then I tried to speak but could not anymore. I've finally lost my voice. He brought out a necklace from his coat and wore it on my neck, also on my wrist. I had a lot to say but sleep didn't let me. As I slowly drifted to sleep, I heard Julian whisper in my ears. "I'm sorry Katrienair. Please forgive me."
Well, I made a mental note of his reply.
