[WSA2025 Entry]
Five hundred years ago, the world changed forever. Dungeons emerged, mythological beasts roamed the lands, new and old races surfaced, and long-lost continents rose to the surface from the depths. Along with these changes came the mysterious opportunity to gain power, to Awaken, granting extraordinary abilities to those chosen by the system.
But not everyone was chosen.
Elliot is one of the many such young people who dream to become an Awakened One… but who have yet to succeed.
Despite that, he is different.
Though mocked and despised by the world for being one of the Rejected–those ignored by the System—Elliot’s desire for power never faded. While others falter, he presses on.
His desire for power burns so fiercely that not even constant rejection can extinguish it.
And then, one fateful day, everything changes.
The long-awaited day arrives, Elliot finally Awakened. And when the System grants him abilities, it does so with a force that shakes the very foundations of the world, allowing him to take a step on the path to greatness, receiving an amazing and unique class unlike any other.
Although being surrounded by enemies and dangers from all sides, his unbreakable will and intense desire for power allow him to look beyond the limits of his eyes as he rises above the world and claims Glory.
Hello, author here. This is my entry to this year's WSA. With more than 30 chapters published, I already have to do a review, but I don't have much to say. It's a novel with Mystery, Adventures, Dungeon Adventures, Single FL, and many other things. It's focused on action, featuring political intrigues in the future and a slightly different power system (due to the energy), with a Scale based on Stat Points. This story combines the Fantasy we all know of adventure and action, revenge and similar things, with eSports-style Competitions, but with repercussions in real life since everything happens in real life (that's why it's Game World's Awakening). It takes place in a gigantic world, with lost continents and islands that have resurfaced, and powerful adversaries who want to reach The Glory. I was inspired by Solo Leveling and a part of Combat Continent to make it, but only in specific situations (The protagonist's power and Team Competitions, respectively). If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here. Thanks for reading.
Just want to say the dude in the cover is very very handsome. Btw, I’m straight. Just saying…😂
As of now where I'm currently at (chapter 11) I have found the story enjoyable, it was off to a great start and has continued to be great so far, keep it up author.
The writing quality is good. The story development is easy to understand and follow. Based on what I know about this author, he is a planner, so I'm sure he has more to offer in terms of world-building as the story progresses. Well done, author! Keep up the good work!
The story has great potential, but what I didn't like was the fact that the a uploads aren't regular, which is very annoying given how immersive the story is and as we go on, it unfolds a new world before our eyes. Highly recommeding it, but the author has to do some work with the updates. Still, one thing concerns me, what haven't there beem more readers or collections to this book. Anyways, hope it would gain tractions so that the author will be motivted to keep on the story and not drop it! [img=recommend]
From the very first chapter, I felt getting pulled into a story that mixes intense action, clever world-building, and a sense of mystery that keeps you turning the page. The protagonist isn’t overpowered from the get-go, but grows in strength and cunning through real effort and survival instincts. The game mechanics and system notifications are clearly thought out and add depth without overwhelming the story. Whether it’s exploring ruins, surviving strange new zones, or dealing with unexpected threats, the story stays engaging. The writing is clean, with consistent character development and a plot that doesn't rely on clichés. If you enjoy stories like Solo Leveling, Omniscient Reader, or The Legendary Mechanic, you’ll feel right at home here—but "Game World's Awakening" also has a voice and style all its own. Overall, highly recommending it for anyone looking for a immersive, survival-style game world. Can't wait to see how to story goes on![img=update]

Reveal Spoiler
I read up to the last chapter for free (Chapter 40 at the time of this review) and I can say this story definitely has a lot of potential. I look forward to seeing how MC Elliot will overcome the challenges ahead![img=recommend][img=update]
Loving the story so far. I’m just hoping the author has a lot planned, I need at LEAST 1000 more chapters of this!
Very good novel, I like the idea of mixing epic fantasy with gaming elements. Even more for the tournaments that remind me of one of my favourite novels (Combat Continent).
Great name, great execution, and I'm sure the plot is gonna be super good too! I'll give it a read and see, but judging from the author's previous works I know he's going to deliver!
I have read the free chapters, the characters are very one-dimensional, it seems like they are driven by a single thought and emotion. The background and world narrative/characters have a lot of inconsistency and red flags so to say, for example, an awakened is one found in a million, and those who failed to awaken are out casts, and very looked down upon and are very oppressed. So, it makes no sense, as in a world of let's say, 3 billion people, only around 3000 people awakens, so. . that would mean that around 2.9 billion are outcast. something like that. and there are alot of inconsistency, characters ambition/reason for actions are very extremely racist, like a mentally challenged person with a knife. a mentally challenged person would try to kill you or harm you regardless of consequences, profit, or ambition, just for your guts.
