Jay Percy was in the huge Percy mansion, standing in middle of the luxurious living room with his parents, when he heard the news. He was still dressed in his grey pyjamas, his eyes still slightly opened with drowsiness, when his father told him he was being married off to the Cartlon household.
His eyes immediately snapped open.
"What? Are you all out of your minds?" Jay yelled at them, his eyes darting towards his quiet mother, who looked like she was about to cry.
"Mind your language boy!" His father who was standing in a side of the room snapped at him. "We're not asking you, we're telling you."
Anger filled up in his chest at his father's word, and he clenched his fists tightly. "I knew you guys never liked me, but this? Isn't this too much?" He questioned, trying to stop his tears from falling out his eyes.
"It's not like that my son." His mother tried to plead. "It's complica_"
"What the fuck is complicated about you selling me out??" Jay yelled angrily, cutting her off. " My sister doesn't want to go, and I'm the next resort?"
His mother began to cry at his words, and if it had been any other person, they would have felt really bad for her, but Jay didn't. He could see right through her act, especially since it wasn't the first time she had tried to gaslight him into doing her bidding.
It stung to be honest, especially seeing how stoic his father looked after giving him the most heartbreaking news anybody could hear. But it was no surprise, especially since he had always been the troubled child.
The useless one.
He was the child who dropped out of business science to do music. The child who came out to his parents as gay. The one who didn't get good grades. The one who skipped school. The one who often got in fights.
There was just always something always wrong with him, unlike their golden Child, Clara Percy.
She was the well behaved, superficially sweet, good in school- and was studying to become a lawyer child. While he was the useless one, the one that could be easily sold in exchange for a business deal.
"You bethroted Clara, not me." Jay tried to argue on, not moved by his mother's tears one bit. "You can't just send me off, because it 'inconvineces' Clara's schooling. I'm a human not a doll."
And Jay would have continued ranting, if not that he heard his father mumble to him. "You might as well be. You're practically useless."
Jay paused in shock at the words spitting out of his father's mouth, his eyes glued to the fairly handsome middle aged man in front of him.
He had always known his father didn't like him, and that things became worse when he dropped out from business administration. Since he was the only child, his father had always wanted him to continue their legacy- become the new CEO after him, but Jay had never really had interested in any of that.
He loved music since he was a child, and always loved to watch people play musical instruments. That was his passion!
He had always wanted to play, and when he managed to enter a university far enough from home, he dropped out of business administration courses which he has initially come in for, and switched to music.
Obviously, his father was beyond angry when he found out. He was angry and said Jay had wasted his money, and quote, 'Should've used his own money to pay for such a stupid course'
He understandstood that his father wasn't happy with him. But this?? This was beyond contempt. This was beyond ignoring him most days of the week. This was selling him off to an unknown country, and leaving him there with a man he didn't even know.
He could feel his heart shattering into pieces at their attitude, and for ones in his life, he didn't know how to express his anger. He pushed his sandy blonde hair off his face, the anger seething through him as he huffed and puffed.
"Tell them to wait. Tell them Clara is still in law school. I'm not getting married to someone I barely know."
His mother kept sobbing as he ranted on, and he could see their butler scuff at him for making the madam cry. But he had enough of their madness and was just about to leave, when his father bellowed loudly.
"We're not giving you a choice Jay Percy. You're our child, and we will decide what's best for you!"
"Best for me?" He scuffed turning to him. "Best for me?? By sending me off to an unknown place?? For what?? What can they possible offer that is much more valuable than your own child." He yelled angrily, and he could feel his tears starting to rise, his face was red, and his lips quivered as he looked at his father's indifferent expression.
"Do you really hate me this much?" He asked quietly, but his father just looked away, not bothering to respond to his question.
He felt like the air was knocked out if his lungs, and he couldn't breathe. The air around them was suffocating, and he knew that there was nothing he could say that would make them change their minds.
"So it's sealed then? There's nothing I can say that will make you change your minds?"
"If it's any consolation." His mother responded, finally wiping the crocodile tears off her eyes. "This would be a chance to help our family Jay. And we would be forever grateful."
He scuffed. Grateful?
"Is the guy in question gay?" He decided to ask the thing that troubled him the most. "Or you're just making a guess and sending me over?"
There was silence, and Jay nodded in understanding. Not only were they sending him off to an unknown country, but they were also tricking the other family by sending him there.
What if he didn't like men? What if the man made his life a living hell because of his parents deceit?
As if reading his mind, his father spoke up with the most evil scowl Jay had ever seen. "You don't need to worry about if he likes men or not. Someone like you can easily seduce him, just like you did to Elon."
Jay's word hung in his throat. His father had stooped so low this time mentioning Elon just to get his point across.
His eyes turned red as he glared hard at his father, the anxiousness of being sent off replaced by pure hatred.
"Fine! Send me away! I'm done with all of you."
He didn't wait for a response, before striding down the long hallways to his room. His heart was thumping, and his throat was hurting. He hated his father for bringing up the past, he had been really trying to forget.
Ones inside his room, he let out a long sigh as he stood In front of his mirror. His ones bright grey eyes now looked paler, but his blonde hair was still as bright as ever.
He turned around to stare at the room which wouldn't be his in a few days, and his heart sank deeper. The grey curtains complimented by the white bedsheet reminded him of where he'd spent most of the twenty four years of his life.
He loved his home, he had friends here, he had things going on here. And the thought of leaving it all behind as a sacrifice for his sister and family annoyed him greatly.
Resolving to his fate, he curiously decided to spend the remaining few hours searching about his new hisaband to be.
Still dressed in his grey pyjamas, he pulled out the chair from below his desk, putting his neck pillow around his neck as he began to scroll through the internet.
Before he even typed out the name completely, they already popped up in the screen Infront of him, making him pleasantly surprised at how modern they looked. The three men in the picture all looked extremely good in their black tuxedos, while a gorgeous middle aged woman wearing a black dress, with shiny silver strands flowing from it's arm edges. They all looked extremely good!
He didn't know which one was Micheal yet, but he would definitely check that out as he continued to go through their catalogue, which made his jaw dropped.
The Percy's were rich, but this family was WEALTHY! What could hus family possible offer to them that they would be willing to marry their son to into their family? Albeit a man at that.
He continued, his eyes widening at the price of their buildings, the beauty of their malls, it was a sight! The kind of things that would be a tourist attraction- yet all these were owned by his new family to be.
Maybe leaving was not going to be as bad as he thought.
Finally deciding it was time to search his 'fiance's' name, his hand was shaking as he typed in 'Micheal Carlton,' into the search engine.
Jay's cheeks flustered bright red when he saw the pictures In front of him, and he would've drooled if not for self control. Micheal was a 6' feet man, with the face and body a greek god. He had black short hair, a finely chiseled jaw, pointed nose, and his beautiful amber eyes glimmered in different pictures. He could have definitely become a successful model if he was in the field, and Jay couldn't believe he was bethroted to him.
He continued scrolling, before his eyes landing on a picture of Micheal swimming. They were showing off their huge new penthouse, and Micheal was swimming in the huge transparent pool. He was wearing a pair of black swimming shorts and a tank top-the top of course sticking to his biceps because of the water.
Micheal was smilling into the camera, a hand in his dark hair, with his brown eyes glistening. A wave of heat passed through Jay as he stared at the picture in awe, and he could feel himself getting hard.
Jay had always had a bad reputation of being a spoilt brat that often went out to parties, and slept around with different men, but even then he had hardly felt this kind of pull to anyone so instantly. His hand as if having a mind if it's own, began to trace the band of his light grey pyjamas, slowly snaking around his groin.
He looked up at the picture again, and his eyes took in every muscle, every curve on Michael's body. He couldn't help himself, and he closed his eyes, his hand squeezing tightly around the tip of his erection.
He had only given himself a few strokes, when the door slammed open and he had to pull his hand out quickly, his face flustered.
Alex, Jay's best friend smirked at the sight, ignoring his flustered face as he walked behind him to stare into the screen.
"Wow. He's hot." His friend teased with a knowing smirk, making Jay's face only grew redder. "I thought you would be upset, but I guess I was wrong."
"Shut up Alex." Jay replied smugly, before turning off the screen. "What are you doing here? How did you find out?"
He shrugged sitting on Jay's huge bed. "your mum called mine, and I overheard. My mum told me how upset you were, and I was asked to come cheer you up. But you clearly didn't need my cheering." Alex dragged the last word, obviously teasing Jay over the scene he'd walked in on.
Jay didn't know what to respond. Yes his body reacted to his husband to be, but that didn't mean his mind wanted to. There was just something too perfect about their world, and Jay was scared to leave his country.
Alex who noticed his friend's silence immediately stopped teasing, and sat up seriously. "If it's any consolation, I think it would be best to start afresh. It looked like they're a good family, and being there might be better than being here."
Jay sighed because his friends was right. His parents didn't love him, and no one cared about what he wanted. Maybe it was better he left after all.
"Okay fine." He nodded in agreement, even though he couldn't stop the sadness from sinking into his heart.
"I'll leave. I'll sacrifice myself for my family."
