Chapter 2

It was about five days later, and Jay's mother told him he was being sent- 'shipped away' the next day. It was Friday evening, and instead of his usual relaxing weekend routine, the maids were running around to put everything in order before he left the next day.

Even though Jay had decided not to take too much items because of the distance, but still after picking his essentials, it rounded up to three suitcases. He sighed heavily seeing the load, but he didn't dare remove the stuff he'd packed because he was too lazy to rearrange.

All the maids could see Jay was visibly upset, especially since he was staring at his phone so hard, that if looks could kill it would've combusted into thin air. He kept glancing down, staring at the texts he had sent to his sister explaining his situation. He begged her, asking her to try and talk their parents out if it, but she didn't even respond.

His hatred for her only grew stronger.

Alex had also been over a lot often, and Jay couldn't deny his friend made him a little bit less anxious. He currently teased him about being married off into a wealthy family, and that he was kind of jealous.

Jay would laugh, and forget he actually didn't know a thing about the man he was marrying. But sometimes when he was alone at night, it would dawn on him again, and his heart would feel heavy.

Sure he had searched alot about Micheal. Things like his hobbies, his likes and dislikes, but he didn't really get much. Micheal seemed to be a really private person, and only the basics were presented online.

Another thing that really worried him was how Micheal would take being married to him- a man. So far, he had not seen any signs of Micheal being into men, and his 'gayder' was screaming at him to run away. But he didn't have any other choice, as he had to leave the very next day. He had also considered running away, but he knew his father won't stop at any length to bring him back so he didn't bother.

He knew because he had run away before.

That night though, he couldn't sleep early. He kept turning and tossing imagining different scenarios about the new life he was about to begun.

He was still dreaming, slightly drooling after finally falling asleep at 3:am in the morning, when one of his the Percy's maids came to wake him up. He got up slight annoyed at how early it was, and how his neck hurt from tossing around so much.

The maid, miss Anna flashed him a small pitiful smile, before telling him his parents were expecting him to be ready in an hour.

"Tell them to fuck off." he muttered under his breath in response, but he didn't dare disobey.

Actually, he had been thinking about running away at some point, but then he weighed his options. His family had so much influence in their city that even if he ran away, they might have found him. Plus it's not like he had anything going for him here, maybe starting afresh would not have been such a bad idea.

The duvet fell of his body as he stood up, and he stared at his 5'8 figure in the mirror. His fair skin was slightly red from the discomfort, but his blonde hair was still as bright as ever. He also eyes had dark circles around them. He sighed. He was supposed to look his best when he met his fiance, but somehow he looked a little bit worse.

He quickly brushed his teeth after a few minute, packed his long sandy blonde hair into a small bun, before taking a quick shower. It was nice and warm, but he couldn't relax. The cold from his inside, slowly creeped all over his skin.

He was finally dressed an hour later in a casual but exquisite two piece. It was something simple, not too flashy- but it was a high end brand. "Dolce Gabbana."

As the different maids rushed in to take away his luggage, he couldn't help glance at the room one more time. It was slightly empty, and as he stared at at his reflection one more time, he could see his eyes had turned dull. It was hard for anyone to leave their lives behind, moreso against their will.

But maybe this was for the best.

As soon as he stepped out into the living room where his parents had been waiting, his mother quickly ran to him, her hands wrapping around his slender shoulders. She cried into his neck, and even though he had the urge to push her away, he couldn't. She was his mother after all.

"I'm sorry." She mumbled into his hair, her eyes red as his colonge filled her nostrils. "Just know that we- we had no choice."

He sighed in response, loosely wrapping his hand around her to console her, but she could still tell her Son was very much angry at her.

Mrs Margret Percy, and Mr John Percy- Jay's parents both watched him go. The father still had that indifferent look on his face as the workers loaded up his things, but his mother looked slightly sad. It didn't matter to him though, because obviously no matter what he did- he would always look bad in their eyes.

About thirty minutes later, he was seated at the back of their black Benz, feeling his tear glands starting to act up. Alex was also there seated there besides him, and was going with him in the car to drop him off at the airport.

And as the car finally pealed away from the Percy compound, Jay could feel Alex squeeze his hand reassuringly. "It's gonna be fine Jay." His friend reassured. "But If anything goes wrong, call me and I'll have my father pull you out of there."

Jay nodded, seemingly not being able to tell if Alex was just joking, but he couldn't deny it felt good to know there was someone on his side. Even if it was only one.

In about half an hour he could see the airport already and he could feel his heartbeat quicken as they drew nearer. A few minutes later, they pulled in, the car finally coming to a stop at the curb of the drop off levels. He glanced out the window, watching other passengers come and go, before his eyes fell on the several men in black suits, holding a placard with his sister's name written boldly on it.

 His heart sank.

"Wow." Alex muttered loudly in obvious obviously surprise- earning a glare from Jay.

"There's nothing wow about this." Jay muttered tiredly. "They weren't even expecting me. They were expecting my sister."

Alex understood his friends worries, but there was nothing they could do now anyways other than hope for the best outcome. Their driver turned the ignition off, and walked out - most likely to tell them he was the one carrying their awaited passenger.

He came back in a few minutes later, and before Jay could ask questions, the car started to move, following behind the grey SVU the suited men had just entered, driving away from the regular drop off section.

After about ten minutes, they stopped in front of a private jet which had the inscription; "CARLTON" written on it, and Jay's mouth fell wide open. He was 'I can travel in private jet rich', but certainly not 'I owned a private jet' rich.

Alex nudged him too as if reading his mind, and the boys stared in awe as the suited men came and pulled the door open for them.

They were obviously body guards belonging to the Cartlon family now that Jay could see them up close, along side the tags on their suits. But although their faces were supposed to be stoic, Jay could still tell they were confused to see him instead of his sister. He could even see one if them peak into the car, checking if someone else was coming inside.

"We're sorry sir." They bowed to him, when they realized he was the only Percy in the car. "The bigger jet is out of use, and we had to make sure with this one. Mr Micheal sends his apologies."

Percy knew he couldn't act stunned. Because whatever his family told the Carlton's, they definitely believed they could help them in some way. But what the fuck? The bigger jet?? This one was already huge!!

He cleared his throat, flashing the the most artificial smile he could muster. "It's fine."

The head guard nodded as he directed the others to go bring out his luggage from the trunk. "Welcome Mr Percy?" They greeted obviously not allowed to question his name, and Alex nearly laughed at the entire ruckus.

"I'm Jay Percy." He corrected with a red face from the enbarsssment. "I think there was a mix up with the names. Clara is my sister."

The guards all exchanged confused looks, but didn't ask anymore questions. They just apologized, and began taking his luggages up into the plane.

In a few minutes they were finished settling in, and Jay was being led up into the private jet. He sighed loudly and hugged Alex really tightly, gave his driver a small nod, before following the suited men towards the huge private jet.

As Jay walked in, all his fears were pushed to the back of his mind as he stared at the beautiful interior in wonder. It had black obviously expensive leather seats, with beautiful dark brown colored carpets. And as the hostess led him deeper into the cabin, his couldn't help but stare in Awe. It was much bigger then he'd expected, and even a mini bar laying stylishly in the back.

The door began to close slowly as all the men settle in, and Jay could see they were preparing for lift off. A hostess came to him asking if he was hungry, but he politely sent her away- not wanting them too see the tears that were forming.

Even the desk Infront of his seat had "welcome Clara Percy." Written on it. His heart sank. This was the realization of his life. 'a replacement, a give away.'

He gazed out the window as the tears began to fall freely. And could see Alex waving him as the jet went up higher and higher, until he could no longer see them anymore.

His parents didn't even come to send him off, they didn't care. And everytime he remembered that the supposed "better place" wasn't even expecting him, more tears poured out his eyes.

He didn't know when he slept off, but as he felt himself being nudged by the air hostess, he realized they had landed. It was night here because of the time zone difference, and contrast between both worlds wanted to make him cry ones more.

"How long were we in the air?" He asked as he got up.

"Ten hours sir. Seems like you were really tired." The average looking young brunette woman replied with a smile. "I can prepare coffee for you if you'd like."

Jay shook his head, rubbing in his aching neck as he'd forgotten to pull out his neck pillow first. "It's fine. The earlier we arrive, the better."

"Okay sir." She smiled at him, feeling a little bit of pity for the handsome man Infront of her. His grey eyes were very dark, and his hair was no longer as neat. He had dark eye circles, and his eyes were puffy as he'd been crying.

In a few minutes later , Jay was moved into another exquisite car, and he couldn't help glancing around like a child. The chairs were soft, and for a minute he forgot all about his fears- until they arrived at the Carlton mansion.

From what he'd read, Micheal didn't live with his parents, but obviously since they were getting married, they would all need to be in the same house.

He shivered at the thought of meeting the whole family at ones.

"Welcome Sir." A middle aged woman greeted in confusion, as Jay stepped out of the car. He stared at all the huge number of guards crowding the compound, feeling overwhelmed as they all bowed to him.

After a few introductions, be was being escorted into the huge mansion. And trust, it was HUGE! The walls were painted in Vieux paints- a high end brand. A garden extended from the back forming a small pathway, and Jay observed there were also some smaller houses behind the main one- for the servants. Everything just screamed luxury.

He slowly walked in holding his breath, and he could tell this house was almost four times bigger than his, which was saying something. Plus as the Carlton's mostly dealed with construction and real estate- their house obviously eluded such taste.

All the furniture was high end, and the living room alone was already overwhelming. The silver chandelier had several small lights strings dangling off it, and the beauty of the staircase made his mouth drop.

He turned to the middle woman who had obviously been nice to him since he'd arrived, and had introduced herself as Mansuella. She had also secretly whispered to him that she had been the one taking care of his fiance since he was a toddler.

That made Jay smile a little.

"How many rooms does this house have?" He asked in awe, and she chuckled before answering.

 "Twenty one."

"Twenty one???" He repeated in shock. His house had ten, and we're often told by people that they didn't need it because they had a small family. But this? This was double his house excluding the servant buildings.

How was he supposed to survive?

But before Mansuella could respond to his awe, he realized they were now face to face with the entire Carlton family.
