Whoopsie, sorry,” Karr exclaimed as he bumped past the horde of people. The city hummed around him—steam vents hissing, brass pipes clanking, and above it all, the ever-present whir of mechanical motors blasting down from the airships drifting overhead.



He zipped past a couple of security guards equipped in jetblack exosuits, and red visors guarding the Malum industries tower. “I’ve got to get myself one of those,” he mused.



“GET BACK HERE BOY,” The voice behind him was guttural, laced with static.The boom of reinforced metal boots hammering against the pavement sent vibrations up his legs...."
