Playing Her Heart

Emily's words were heard clearly making everyone turn to her.

"Leaving tomorrow?"Ryder's lips twitched.

"Yes,I have to go home and go to work"she gave out her excuses.

Her eyes shifted to Ethan to get any reaction but there was none.

"Emily"Riley called,

Her gaze shifted to her friend,

"Now you have someone who can be of help rather than me Ril"Emily whispered.

"You were always the best help I could ever ask for"Riley touched her hand holding them tightly.

Emily smiled at her friend before turning to her food with her heart aching badly.

Soon everyone left the dining and Emily took up the courage to meet Ethan.

She stood outside his room taking deep breaths before knocking on the huge door.

She frowned getting no response from inside,

she knocked again and got no response.

She pushed the door slightly and it opened,

making her gasp.

Inside was dark as Emily locked the door behind entering the room.

She didn't notice Ethan anywhere and decided to look around the room.

It was night time and the curtains of the room

was closed not allowing any form of light inside.

Searching for a switch to turn on the light,a hand immediately stopped Emily.

She gasped when it covered her mouth,

"Shhh"he shushed her.

Removing his hand from her mouth,

"Ethan"Emily whispered hearing his voice.

She couldn't see his face and raised her hand to

feel his face before touching his disheveled hair.

Ethan suddenly pushed her slightly to the wall with her faced him.

He could see her clearly even though it was dark,

a vampire had an ability of seeing in the dark.

His hands moved to her body touching her and feeling her naked arm.

She wore a thin hand gown which allowed him feel her fair skin.

She shivered under his touch as his hands moved from her arm to her waistline.

His hand played with her tender skin as it reacted to his touch.

Suddenly he pressed his lips against hers rampaging and sucking her lips.

He kissed her like a beast,it felt like he had been trying to hold on to the lust for a while as he continued sucking her lips.

He let go as Emily felt her lips swollen from his dangerous kisses.

"Ethan"she called softly yet it sounded seductively in his ears.

He pulled her closer and hugged her tightly,

she felt small in his arms like a little lamp in the

arms of a dangerous wolf.

"You are driving me crazy little lamp"he says softly,

"That what I want Ethan"Emily whispered back.

Suddenly he let go of her and switched on the light exposing their faces.

Ethan's expression changed to a stern one as he turned away from Emily.

"Why are you here?"he questioned.

Emily's eyes widened hearing his words as the man earlier who seemed to not get enough of her had changed.

"I'm leaving tomorrow"she stated.

"You already announced that"came his nonchalant response making Emily's heart ache.

"Won't you ask me to stay Ethan?"she says softly going closer to him.

He turned to her with a frown,

"Why?"came his question in response.

Emily's eyes widened as tears filled her eyes hearing his words.

"I can't stop you from leaving Emily"came another words from Ethan.

This time he turned his back again ignoring her.

Emily turned away and ran from there feeling a rush of adrenaline.

She felt pained and betrayed thinking if all his actions towards her were just nothing and he didn't care about her.

Entering the room,she saw a sleepy Riley and decided not to wake her.

Emily entered the bathroom,when all the tears bubbling up spilled.

She cried softly as her heart ached more,

spending almost an hour in the bathroom.

Emily stared at her face in the mirror as her eyes were already swollen,she fell down on the cold marble floor of the bathroom.

Removing her dress,Emily climbed on the bathtub unlocking the tap as water filled the tub.

She took a soap and rubbed on her body and her

hair while whimpering.

Emily stood in front of the mirror with a sigh as the birds chirped loudly outside.

It was morning already and her eyes were drowsy and swollen from her cries.

Taking a cold spoon she had borrowed from the kitchen,she pressed on the edges of her eyes.

She stared at her reflection on the mirror before taking a turn at Riley who was still sleeping.

"Emily"Riley called from behind,

Emily immediately dropped the spoon

and turned to Riley with a fake smile.

"You are awake"Riley stated.

"Yes,leaving this morning"she responded.

Riley frowned and knew something was wrong,

"Henry is taking you home right?"Riley asked staring at her friend.

Emily nodded in response and ran closer to her friend.

Riley opened her arms out and hugged her as Emily shivered.

"What did he do?"Riley asked,

Emily shifted from her friend to stare at Riley before sharing everything that happened the previous night.

"Oh Emily"Riley's face was calm but her eyes held anger.

"I will kill him!"she says with a frown.

"You know what,I saw online last night that

Julian is opening is club tonight,we should go"Riley offered with a grin,

"No we can't Ril,you can't meet lot of people right now"Emily declined.

"I can,I really want us to lay off everything going on recently Emily"she says with a sigh.

"If that what you want,we could go"Emily nodded.

She did want to cool off and knowing Riley needed

a girls outing to take her mind off her parents death.

"It settled then,we are going to the club tonight"Riley smiled.

Emily left afterwards without seeing Ethan,

she felt embarrassed to see him.

Getting home,Emily's mom was glad to see her

as Emily hadn't been home for days.

She visited the orphanage that day after assuring her mother Riley was alright and was living with a fictional cousin.
