Aurora stared at her reflection in the mirror, dressed already for work but she had a pitiful look.
Knowing the truth of the past made her heart clench and she knew the suffering everyone passed through.
Soon she got to the school building when she was informed of her presence in the headmistress office.
She sighed walking to the woman's office who she knew was a vampire with many other students.
After hearing the voice from inside,Aurora pulled the door handle entering the room.
She was greeted by mrs Gerald and another teacher Janet seated at one side of the table.
"Good morning mrs Gerald"she greeted the woman politely,
Mrs Gerard however gave her a pleasing smile and
offered her the other seat while Janet just hissed.
"Anything wrong mrs Janet?"the headmistress questioned staring at the woman through her glass.
"No ma'am"the woman smiled,
"I called you both here today to inform on the upcoming rise and shine party"the headmistress stated,
Aurora raised a brow,
"It like a prom but this is different from a prom,
we do this every year and this party comes before halloween which is just around the corner. The theme this year is based on the 1800s and I would like you both to host the celebration for the kids"Mrs Gerald continued.
"Mrs Janet will give you more insights miss Ross"Mrs Gerald concluded.
Janet wasn't keen on working with Aurora which the girl found strange why the woman hated her so much.
They both got up and greeted the headmistress before heading out.
"The library will do more help than me"janet says and walked away leaving Aurora.
Aurora sighed and rolled her eyes glad it she didn't have any classes before heading to the library.
Aurora looked through the long piles of books searching for the so called history book that defined the rise and shine party.
She had host parties for students before in her previous school and this wasn't a problem for her but knowing how different Morsvil high was from the other universities.
She did want to get books here to learn more on the history of north Morsvil knowing how the town was once destroyed.
"You seem interested in books miss"a deep voice was heard making Aurora startled.
She turned to see a brown haired boy in glasses staring at her,
"Forgive me miss"he apologized for startling her,
"I'm Joshua by the way"he introduced,
"Miss Ross"she responded knowing she still had to act professional even though he looked older than her but she knew he was a student.
"Oh you must be the young teacher everyone is gasping about"he chuckled,
Aurora frowned,
"No! Just curious on who you were even though I don't entertain gossip"he stated cheeky,
"But you did entertain one"she walked away from him with the books in her hand.
"My deepest apologies miss for sounding awful"he apologized again.
Aurora took a seat at the nearest end wanting to seclude from the rest.
"No one comes here to sit cause of the stormy six"Joshua states with a frown.
Aurora knew once he was talking about Mateo and his friends.
"Are you scared of them Joshua?"she questioned,
"No,they are just ignorant kids who lack love"came his subtle response.
Aurora didn't respond to that knowing everyone had their opinion.
"You must have other things doing, like a class?"Aurora questioned the boy,
"I'm not a student miss Ross"he smiled,
Aurora was taken aback hearing his words,
"Assistant music teacher"he introduced
Aurora frowned knowing how he had tricked her into thinking he was a student.
Aurora was glad to find another young person like her as a teacher and learnt he was getting a degree from Morsvil high by teaching the students music.
"Have you lived in north Morsvil all your life?"
"No,didn't study here but came back knowing north Morsvil was the best university to get my music degree"he responded.
Both of them sat chatting away and Aurora was enjoying his company.
"Where did you study then if I may ask?"she says politely,
"Worms,my family and I moved to worms when I was just ten"he explained.
Aurora nodded knowing what it felt like moving as she had felt she wouldn't leave Gret but here she was in what seemed to be her fated town.
"Do you know what this town was like before?"Aurora questioned,
He hummed hearing her question and fell silent like he was having thoughts about it
"North Morsvil was always peaceful, there was once a calamity that befall the town and no one speaks of it till now. Heard of the accident that caused so many deaths here before the town was restored and outsiders filled the town"he explained.
"Why do you ask?"joshua asked staring at her,
"No reasons, just curious on my homeland"she smiled.
"You should go to the library in town and speak to the librarian there, she knows a lot about the town better, she is my aunt"he whispered the last words.
Aurora noticed his deep blue eyes hidden behind
the angular shaped glasses and his cheeky smile.
"Don't have time for that now thanks to the upcoming shine and rise party"she rolled her eyes.
"Rise and shine"he corrected with a giggle,
"You shouldn't worry much and I think I'm looking forward to this year's theme seeing as it all fashion from the past"he grinned.
"You will be more excited seeing you are not the one in charge"she stated with a sigh.
"If you need my help, you can come to the music studio and I will be of much help dearest miss Aurora"he says getting up.
"I will leave you to your work now"he waved her before leaving.
Aurora turned back to the books on the desk and opened to learn more about the upcoming festive.
She was still upset about her fight with Mateo but she made that less of her worry at the moment.
