"Steal from the mafia? Bad idea. Steal from mafia with real superpowers? Dex is about to find out why that’s suicide."
In 2029, the only thing more addictive than Dreamscape—the hyper-realistic VR game that grants real-world abilities—is the high of not getting killed over it.
Dex, a sharp-tongued slacker, and his loose-cannon best friend Malo make one tiny mistake: stealing 5 million dollars from a mafia family who play Dreamscape. Now, with hitmen who can control fire, hack minds, and bend reality on their tails, their only shot at survival is to:
1.Buy the game.
2.Grind like hell.
3.Unlock their own powers before the mafia melts their brains.
But Dreamscape has rules:
= Choose your race (Cyber-human? Elf? Demon?). Your world changes with it.
= Reach Level 50 to keep one ability in real life.
= Don’t die IRL while your body’s jacked in.
Too bad Dex is Level 0. And the mafia? They’re already maxed out.
