Entering the room after the voice from inside responded, she felt an adrenaline rush knowing she would find out the whereabouts of the stones today.
"Father"Della bowed her head slightly
"Why were you going through my things?"hearing the quiet voice of Fredrick, she frowned.
"I'm sorry papa"she immediately apologized,
"Did you find the stones?"Della asked,
"Did you read the letter?"Fredrick returned her question with another,
She shook her head glancing at her father knowing he was definitely hiding something.
"I got a clue where the stones were but searched for it and it wasn't there"Fredrick stated.
Della blinked her long lashes,
"Where papa? I should check for it,I would be able to locate the stones"she offered,
"No Della,I already searched for it"he declined,
"Are you hiding something from me papa?"Della asked staring at him,
"What would I possibly hide?"Fredrick stared back at her,
"Since so curious on the place, you can visit tomorrow,it Black Bridge and apparently
I'm going there in the morning"he added.
"Thank you"Della smiled at him hoping she could find the stones in this village.
Soon after she left the room and headed back to her room.
Meanwhile,Fredrick took a fresh paper and ink writing a note down in the paper.
He folded it and made a silent whistle,a raven flew through the opened window in his study and he handed his written letter to the raven.
"To lord Lucas"Fredrick ordered the raven,
The raven flew away knowing exactly where to take the letter to.
A woman walked in west hill,a brown dirty cloak covered her head downwards, just her black boots were seen.
The night was eerie and faint sounds from the wind were the only heard,it was already past 2 and everyone was in their perceptive homes.
Not a soul was outside, yet this woman walked in the eerie night daring.
Soon stopped at a small diner, the roof of the restaurant was old,the color of the building fading already with mildew around it.
The woman entered the diner knowing no one would be in inside but the owner still stood behind the countertop.
He held a plate he cleaned with a small piece of cloth, his eyes focused on the plate.
Raising his head to meet the brown piercing eyes of the woman.
"Helen"he called out offering the woman a smile,
his teeth rotten and had a mixture of black and yellow.
"You don't clean Otto"she frowned, going forward to seat faced to the man.
Otto was a thin looking man,he had thick dark eyebrows under his almost bald hair, with a tiny mustache that hung up below his nose.
Removing her hood, long black hair fell down.
She was a captivating woman, her small angelic face could never be reckoned.
She was a woman who men would easily dance around in satisfaction for her beauty, she looked young yet was older than the man who stood in her front.
"You still long young after all these years"Otto smirked,
"I have to look young so these kids can dream of having fun with me while I eat them up"she sneered showing a black long tongue out.
"A daring witch as always"Otto chuckled,
"If only the people you serve food here knows the real condition of the place"Helen rolled her eyes.
"They wouldn't want to know"he added with narrowed eyes,
"Hannah was killed in Black Bridge"Helen informed,
Otto hummed while playing with his fingers,
"Thankfully it wasn't one of those amateur council workers were sent,Edward and Betsy handled it well"Helen added,
"They decided to kill her?"Otto turned his gaze back at Helen,
"There was no option and if she was to be saved that day,the upper hand wouldn't let her leave"Helen replied.
"So troublesome, she would have been more careful"Otto stated.
Helen knew Otto liked the witch that was killed, she was his favorite and he trying hard to not care about her death was better for him.
"Heard from Finn we are going to cast a ritual soon"Otto informed,
"Yes,it another locating ritual, don't know when it will end"Helen added.
"Be careful Helen, heard of the irksome heir to Gavion"Otto frowned in disgust.
"Oh the appealing vampire"Helen laughed a little,
"His wife seems to follow him everywhere, heard from the witch in his castle"Otto informed,
"The little human sent to be his bride at such a young age"Helen twitched.
"He has been causing dispute and the witches are not set in living well in Gavion,do you think he knows of the stones?"Otto asked with narrowed eyes.
"Probably, his cousin here seems to have a reputation, these vampires are not meant to be underrated"Helen voiced out.
"Are you going to spend more time in west hill?"came the question from Otto,
"Yes,I need to start gathering the witches here for the upcoming ritual"Helen replied to get a nod from Otto.
A raven flew through the cold nighty breeze before stopping at the high window of a mansion.
His long mouth hit the window making noise to get attention.
The window opened and the raven dropped the letter down before flying away.
Lord Lucas picked the letter, his room was dark and just the stars and lights in the mansion reflected in the room.
A wave of wind sang through his dark room as the sat on the bed and read what was written in the letter.
A vampire had many abilities and one being able to see in the dark, they were almost equivalent to bats as they lived on blood and see through the dark.
Lord Lucas not being a normal vampire had more abilities than a normal pure blooded vampire, his ability came from his lineage being of different breed, which few closer to him knew of.
"Fredrick wants an alibi"he murmured.
He had done his research and found out Della was his adopted daughter he found years ago and was more curious on the girl now.
