Witch In Black Bridge

Two vampires sat in the carriage as the wheels moved continuously,they sat while the black haired vampire puffed on a cigarette.

Blowing the air that came with the ashes from the cigarette out,it passed through the opened window of the carriage,it was late and the sun was hidden in the land of west hill,the dark clouds and stars covered the land.

It was a cold night and these vampires had stopped somewhere after leaving the soiree.

"Do you know her Oliver?"Lord Lucas questioned staring at the almost finished smoke in his hand.

"No"came the short reply from Oliver,

"But you seemed to know her,do you perhaps like her?"came another question,this time lord Lucas covered the cigar in his hand and it disappeared.

"I don't spend my time knowing the ladies in west hill my lord"came another answer from Oliver,not answering about his feelings for Della.

Lucas rolled his eyes thinking how this friend of his still hasn't changed and always kept to himself.

"Do you like her?"Oliver questioned,his red eyes glanced at Lucas checking any change of emotion

in his eyes but it was indifferent.

Usually,Oliver was the one no one could read,Lucas had the strong Aura that one knew screamed danger.

"Yes"Lucas replied unbendingly.

Oliver fell quiet,

"Her optimism made her riveting"came the words from lord Lucas who smirked a little reliving earlier events.

"Such audacious women are usually deceptive"Oliver voiced out,

Lord Lucas didn't respond and just hummed,he didn't want to fight over a woman with Oliver,but

he loved playing games and she just seemed to be the right pawn.

"Heard from Logan?"Oliver questioned,

"No,he seemed too busy with his human wife"Lord Lucas replied,

"He did leave her for a long time,they should bond"came Oliver's response.

"They should,Castiel said a witch was caught in a small village,seemed they are still bent in searching for their so called magic stones"lord Lucas rolled his eyes,

"You don't believe Logan?"Oliver questioned,

Lord Lucas shook his head,

"Logan knows what he is doing,he couldn't be fooled and if the witches are planning on using the stones,

it better we get our hands on them first"informed lord Lucas.

"Yes,they seem to have lot of plotting as they keep causing chaos in the lands for these stones"Oliver frowned,to get a hum from lord Lucas.

Della was about to knock on the door when she noticed it was opened.

"Papa"she called out,

Entering the study,she frowned not seeing her father anywhere.

Her eyes fell on an envelop on the table,she walked closer and picked it up,her curiosity got the better of her.

She opened it to find letters and drawings,drawings of stones she was really familiar with.

About reading the words written in the letters to get more information,she was startled by a familiar voice.

"Della"

She quickly turned to see her father and Xavier standing while staring at her.

The letters were still in her hand,

"Touching my things"Fredrick frowned and immediately went to her to take the papers from her.

"What is that father?"she asked

before her eyes fixed on Xavier.

"I will come back when you are less busy papa"she said softly glancing at Xavier before leaving the room.

"Did you think she found out where the stones were?"Xavier asked worriedly,

"Not sure,I hope she didn't"Fredrick replied with a long sigh.

"She will be safe sire"Xavier added seeing how distress Fredrick was getting.

"Anyways heard of the death of the witch found in black bridge"Xavier informed,

"Thought we told them to keep her for questioning,some of the council members had gone to the village"Fredrick frowned,

"Do you think they are involved with the witches?"Xavier asked,

"The council members who went were councilman Edward and councilwoman Betsy"Fredrick stated deep in thoughts.

"They were appointed when I first started working for the council,they are average vampires and one of the many siblings working in the council"Xavier informed,

"Yes,they never get too involved in drastic matters but were sent to the village where the witch was caught"Fredrick added,

He then turned to Xavier,

"We might just be closer to these witches than we know,get more information on these half vampire sibling Xavier"Fredrick ordered.

"I'm going to invite Lord Lucas over"he added

to get a stunned look from Xavier.

"Why sire?"Xavier questioned,with widen eyes.

"It better he knows of the witches plotting and the stone in his possession,didn't want to involve him before but I guess he is more involved,we don't know what he is really capable of and we need him by our side"Fredrick informed.

"Yes sire"Xavier bowed his head.

"Call in Della on your way out,don't need her getting in harms way"he sighed after breathing the last word out.

Xavier left the room after heading to Della's room.

Della sat in her room staring at the writings her mother had left for her,it was nightfall and the only thing giving her light in the room was her lantern and the silent stars that shone brightly above.

Hearing the knock on the door,she got up and opened to find Xavier outside.

"Are you really a servant Xavier?"she asked,her eyes staring at his.

"What do you mean my lady?"Xavier questioned back,

"Never mind,why are you here?"she asked,her voice soft.

"Your father sent for you"he responded,

Della nodded before going outside,she locked her room door.

"Are you going out?"she asked,he didn't seem like he was going to his room.

"Just a little walk in the garden my lady"came the reply from Xavier.

Della nodded before leaving his side and walking through the corridors which were lit cause of the lamps that stood at the wall sides.

Xavier stared at her silhouette and smile a little,he didn't know how to stop himself from falling for her.
