The Inevitable is Yet to Come (Part 2)

Riku silently walked from the opposite side of the hidden path. He felt compelled to take a walk through the forest, after realizing falling asleep was something he couldn't do. The moonlight that shone from the evident hole in the cave's ceiling, illuminated the depths of the forest grounds.

As a result, the Grey Wolf purposely took the off-beaten pathway to give himself time to think and be consumed by his thoughts without being interrupted.

Stopping suddenly, Riku casted his emerald eyes towards the silver, crescent moon that hung over him. The moon goddess, U'sa, was watching him, her merciful gaze gave the Grey Wolf a sense of peace he longed for. Instinctually, the Grey Wolf lifted his arm and outstretched his hand; his fingers caressing the pale moonlight that warmed him to the core.

"If there is any mercy left to be had, I will make things right once again." Riku promised, the moon reflecting in his pupils. "I will bring you back, Ze'ha."
