Labyrinth of Death

After successfully passing the first test, Aria quickly ran through one of the labyrinth doors. He moved alone, unlike the other participants who formed a group to complete this test. When Aria arrived in this area filled with forest, suddenly he felt something approaching, it sounded like heavy footsteps and a low roar, it was a monster. Meanwhile, in other places in this maze, the participants who formed groups also encountered monsters, they were alert and ready to attack the monsters. 

"Hey… this ugly monster that we have to fight?"

"This is so easy, ha-ha."

The words of several participants seemed to belittle this test, as they took out their swords and some also prepared to attack with their basic magic.

However, before they could attack the monster, suddenly a monster appeared from a dark area, moving quickly, immediately stabbed one of the participants in the group in the stomach, causing blood to bleed and suddenly a blue light surrounded the participant and then disappeared. It was a sign that the participant had failed this test. Meanwhile, at Aria's location, he was alert to the sound he heard earlier and immediately took out his wooden sword to be ready to face the monster that would appear. Aria tried to be careful in his steps so as not to make the monster more wary of Aria. Carefully, he began to sneak between the shadows and large trees to avoid the monsters that appeared.

"Hah… turns out this is more difficult than I imagined."

"How far will this maze take me? I have to quickly find the exit from this maze!"

With heavy breathing, Aria continued to move forward looking for the exit to pass the final stage of the exam to become an academy student. However, as Aria moved through the large trees and it was so dark, a large figure covered in black bones suddenly appeared. It was a Death Knight who appeared with his large sword gleaming under the dim light.

Aria gripped his sword tightly while swallowing hard.

"Ugh, damn... why did the boss monster appear straight away."

Then Aria, with his sharp instincts, knew that this was very dangerous. The Death Knight was almost twice as tall as him, its black sword giving off a dark aura made it look scary.

Aria swallowed hard.

"Unlucky..."

Suddenly the Death Knight immediately jumped to attack with his sword.

CLANG!

The clash of Aria's sword with the Death Knight made the surrounding area feel like there was a strong gust of wind. Then, Aria moved backwards to look for an opening to attack the Death Knight. He tried the technique that Aria had studied for five years holding a sword without knowing the basics of swordsmanship, namely slashing and stabbing techniques. Aria then ran quickly to offer resistance to the Death Knight, an attack from the wooden sword used, trying to strike the Death Knight's stomach, but the resistance was in vain. The Death Knight uses black iron armor that is difficult to penetrate with just a wooden sword.

Crack! 

"Ugh, damn... I forgot that this is a wooden sword, how can it penetrate that black iron."

Aria was annoyed because he couldn't deal any damage to the Death Knight, instead his wooden sword broke due to the impact with the Death Knight's black armor and sword. Then the Death Knight relentlessly attacked Aria, then Aria tried to dodge by stepping back slightly and diving to the side and tried to provide resistance again by hitting the Death Knight so that it fell to the ground.

BOOM!

The Death Knight fell to the ground, and that gave Aria little way to attack him again. While the Death Knight was still falling, Aria quickly looked and grabbed an object around him, immediately smashing it into the Death Knight's body.

Takk!

the sound of the rock that Aria slammed into the Death Knight.

"Ugh… Damn! Why is this armor so difficult to destroy."

Then Aria tried to take out the dagger he was carrying in his bag, but the Death Knight didn't give Aria pause, the Death Knight's counterattack made Aria fall backwards, and his chest felt tight. However, Aria tried to attack again with the dagger he took, and the Death Knight also attacked with his sword which caused the two weapons to clash again.

CLANG!

Aria was pushed back, but he cleverly threw the dagger at the Death Knight, but it still didn't have any effect on the Death Knight.

"Should I run?... I don't have any weapons at all, it will be difficult for me to attack him again."

Suddenly, the Death Knight's sword released black energy around the sword, and it quickly went in front and struck right at Aria's stomach. This made Aria seriously injured, blood came out of Aria's stomach and also in his mouth.

"Ugh… cough… damn this monster!" Aria said with anger and hurt.

His trembling hands, and the sword wound that continued to widen, made Aria unable to move his body.

"Am I… going to fail?"

"This is what I've done so far."

"Should I fail now?"

Full of annoyance and anger, Aria, who was no longer able to do anything because of the injuries he suffered, only had one thought to do before Aria was teleported to the starting place and that was a sign that Aria would fail. What Aria thought at that time was, he wanted to defeat the Death Knight with something that could eliminate darkness, and that was light.

Suddenly the sky in the labyrinth area changed, previously it was a little dark because it was covered by clouds, a light appeared in the sky. Then, Aria's body seemed to be floating above the sky with his bright blue eyes sparkling and his gaze so sharp.

The area around the labyrinth began to shake. Several other participants also felt the vibration.

"Wow... what is this? Why is there suddenly a vibration in the labyrinth?"

"Is this the last appearance of the Boss in this labyrinth?"

Several examinees who felt the vibration said with a little worry.

BOOM!

An explosion filled with light occurred in the area where Aria was fighting the Death Knight. The explosion was caused because Aria unknowingly used some kind of light magic which then formed a large spear, even bigger than the Death Knight itself which was then thrown from the sky down or more precisely towards the Death Knight. This caused the Death Knight's body to be destroyed without any remains.

"Finally… I can finally deliver my final attack."

"Hah... Damn Death Knight! it's better that we don't meet again!"

With his body no longer able, Aria immediately fell to the ground, and everything looked pitch black in his eyes.

Then a voice was heard.

"Congratulations, you passed and have the right to enter Vakenholt Academy!"

All students who succeeded also got the vote, which indicated that they had successfully passed. However, some failed because they couldn't defeat the boss monster or couldn't find the labyrinth exit.

The Academy Admission Exam is finally over.
