Jane Heather stumbles into the hands of a covert initiative called the Prometheus Foundation, where she is finally redeemed from the drudgery of her university life. The PF offers her opportunities to complete the work of her wildest dreams and beyond the comprehension of others.



However, quickly the PF realises Heather's pure genius and initiates her into some of its most secret and classified work. Instead of simply striving to advance the sciences, the PF plays a much deeper role than she could have ever guessed. Heather also discovers that she must join the constant battle against the corruption of the fanatical Order of the Ascending Ones. While the Prometheus Foundation strives for the pursuit of truth and knowledge, the OAO's mission is to eliminate human free will and impose the 'perfection' of the species.

As Heather, her research team, and fiercely loyal winged war machines wage their fair effort against the OAO, Heather confronts her own guilt, forces beyond her nature, and the inescapable essence of absolute truth.
