Nothing at all

You would've thought that my life would get more interesting here on out, Heck! I might as well go back to my little boat. It's a straight shelter up in here, how the hell is the food worse than those canned beans?! All they serve here is either some stale bread with some milk, or this nasty protein package which will apparently 'give you the same benefits as a whole meal' what a load of bs. 

After Ms.Iris left me some guy came up to me. He looked to be in his 40s with greyish hair and pale blue eyes, He seemed nice. I would have thought he was the captain if he didnt say so.

He introduced himself as John and he was incharge of getting everyone settled in and managed most of the refugees. He asked some questions here and there and led us into this room 'which I'm now staying in' . He said it's temporary until he finds some space in the upper decks. 'I instantly knew I was NOT getting a room on the upper decks and it was just a way to give me some hope!' Since it was around night when he guided me inside this so-called room feeling exhausted. 'I deserve.. A long…' I said as a sigh escaped my mouth falling asleep. 

Waking up still lying down on this tiny mattress, My gaze shifted to look around the room. There seemed to be one bed (the one I'm currently on, if you could even call this a bed) a tiny cabinet, with a lantern on top of it. The floor was filled with dust and made of concrete 'If I didn't have my shoes my feet would have frostbites!' rubbing my feet feeling thankful I heard some commotion outside my tiny room, which was weird this ship was mostly quiet for the most part, at least it usually is. 

As I was about to open the door, someone knocked. It was a girl who was quite short with pale skin and hazel eyes that matched her copper hair 'a redhead huh' "Hello? And who might you be?" I said suspiciously she stepped closer and looked at me for quite a while with a very intense look on her face, I held my breath 

"You know your very lucky Aunty Iris took a liking to you" She stated with her arms crossed, subconsciously stepping back 'so she's an aunty to people she likes?' before I could finish my thought the redhead blurted "We don't have all day get moving and follow me" she started to leave while mumbling something to herself, something along the lines 'why'd I have to get assigned to a imbecile' registering in my brain I suddenly felt annoyed looking back up she was already prancing along the hall 'why does she walk so fast?' 'jerk' I mumbled racing to catch up to her. 

As we walked to god knows where I saw two distant shadows, when they cleared into view I realized Aunty iris was there 'Did I really just call her aunty?' My face suddenly got red, focusing my gaze at the other shadow next to her. It was some guy. He looked around Irises age, He had a tall frame with a nice jawline and a milky complexion and light trimmed goatee . Auburn hair and blue eyes, He seemed to be laughing at something. He had a long blue trench coat and a sword strapped around his waist. 

"How pathetic" Feeling startled I suddenly remembered the girl next to me "whos he" I said quietly 

"He's the Captain, Caster and you already know iris shes the Vice captain of this ship" He's the captain?? He looks so young. Is he that capable?? Lost in thought the girl said again 

"The people two decks over can probably hear that guffaw of his! Tsk" "Cant believe that fools at it again" she sighed, As I was about to say something she added "You would've thought he'd man up and ask her out already" 

"Hey it's 2032 what's with the gender roles ?!" I snapped back to prove this chick wrong, Why do only the guys need to confess "Maybe there just friends" I stated 

"Oh Pleaseee, He looks at her like she's made of the moon itself!" "hes practically drooling" she added 

"Hey let the man be!" I disputed "You don't tell me what to do eyelashes!" She quickly snapped back "I barely had a good night's rest with the two devil incarnations who share a room with me!, and now this!" She grumbled placing her hand on her head like she was experiencing a migraine. What did I do to deserve this rude remark?? And she's not the only one who had a bad sleep! At least she's not in an abandoned storage room as a so-called bed! 

"Anyways, I got assigned to show you how things go about here sunshine" "Can't have you lounging your butt off in here!" Feeling oddly relieved to have someone guide me, maybe this place would be such a bore anymore. She started walking away, singling me to follow her. We ended up underground, or whatever underground you can get with this big ship. The girl opened a door, breathing in my surroundings a gale of smoke hit my face. Frantically coughing the girl took a quick glance at me and started giggling heading inside the room. 

Feeling embarrassed I dusted off some debris that got on my clothes and grabbed the girl's hand before she slipped away "Hey! Are you gonna tell me your name?" glaring at me to let go of her hand, I quickly let go "Mia, My names mia" I didn't think she was really going to tell me feeling a little shock "Oh okay Im nereus" "I already know your name sunshine" She smirked and continued to walk inside what looked like a underground facility 

"MIAAA" Someone cried out "I'm not deaf you don't need to yell" Mia said "MIAAA Get me out of heree i'm literally dyingg" The girl whined as she rushed towards mia. "Aaliyah you need to get back to the work you just started!" The so-called Aaliyah fell on top of Mia hugging her "Get off me before I push you, How are you so immature when you're older than me??" Mia refuted back, Taking a closer look at the girl she had long wavy blonde hair with pink eyes. A rare combination, She seemed to be wearing an apron to prevent her clothes from getting dirty. She also had goggles on her face along with some debris. "Aaliyah you're very good at your job and you enjoy-" Cutting mia off Aaliyah said "Look at my beautiful face?? It's getting ruined! Why is a gorgeous girl like me working in such a disgusting place!" She cried out "Your my mentee can you help a girl out?" "Enough with the "mentor" excuses, as my mentor you should be helping me!" Mia refuted "Do you want me surpassing you?" "Like you could," Aaliyah snapped back. "No one is better than me when it comes to making gadgets" she grinned at Mia, Mia herself looking quite happy with herself Aaliyah suddenly took a sharp look at me "Whos this chump?" 

"Ay why is everyone so mean to me?! I have done nothing since coming here but being a good smaraton!" I protested "I see where Mia got her rude remarks from" I quietly mumbled "What did you say?!" Aaliyah yelled 

Mia just looked at both of us and sighed "Come on guys there a meeting today and we need to hurry up" 

"About that, why the hell is no one panicking about the second earth looking sun?!" I also forgot such a scene yesterday when I fell asleep looking down I saw both Aaliyah and Mia looking at me with a weird expression 

"What are you talking about?" Aaliyah was the first to say "earth sun looking thing? What do you mean" Mia said 

"What?!" "You're saying none of you saw that?? Yesterday the sun was all greenish blue and looked like another earth!" Glancing at each other they both walked away, Mia singling me again to follow ignoring my prior question "Hurry up doofus we don't get all day, the meeting starts in 5 mins" Mia said and Aaliyah smiling as she had an excuse to leave this dump. Did no one really see that yesterday? I mean I was sleep deprived and hungry but I wouldn't mistake that kind of thing! Grumbling to myself I followed the girls into a corridor and in one of the rooms I saw a big circular table with Iris, and Captain sitting on one side and on the other two guys one that oddly seemed familiar to someone and the other with a stern look on his face. 

As soon as the captain saw us he got up "Let's get started should we?" He announced before we had a chance to sit down I grabbed mias hand "Hey why am I here in your little meeting? Not that I mind or anything" I whispered "well you were with me and I couldn't leave you in the underground facility" she whispered back and starting to follow Aalyiah and they both sat down somewhere, before I had a chance to follow Iris said "Well if it isn't Nere" She judged "Hey Ms.Iris" I said quietly "Ms? What happened to Aunty?" feeling my face get hot I looked away seeing Aaliyah with a confused look and the two guys taking a quick glance at my direction seemed surprised as well. Looking away I sat down next to Mia and saw the Captain glared at me and started a projection that displayed on a wall nearby.
