Anna jolted awake, her heart slamming against her ribcage as a sharp, furious voice cut through the stillness of the room. 


“Anna!” Jaden’s voice thundered, each syllable laced with icy fury. 


She sat up in the bed, disoriented, the remnants of sleep clinging to her. Blinking against the brightness of the room, her gaze snapped to Jaden, who stood at the foot of the bed, his towering figure vibrating with barely contained rage. 


“What the hell is your problem?” she muttered groggily, rubbing her eyes. Her annoyance quickly replaced the grogginess, irritation bubbling to the surface. It wasn’t even morning yet, and she was in no mood for Jaden’s theatrics. 


Jaden’s dark eyes bore into hers, a storm raging in their depths. His jaw clenched as he held up his sleek iPad, the screen glowing ominously. “You,” he hissed, his voice low and dangerous. “You are my problem.” 


Anna frowned, her confusion deepening. “What are you talking about?”
