The sound of the ocean waves crashing outside was soothing, yet her mind refused to find peace. Jaden had been gone for a while now, and though she tried to dismiss her concern, the nagging thought at the back of her mind persisted. 


Deciding to distract herself, she unlocked her phone and scrolled aimlessly. The first notification she saw was a tag in a post, followed by another and then another. Her brows furrowed in confusion as she clicked on the first one. Her heart nearly stopped when she saw the images. 


There they were—Jaden and her, in the underwater restaurant they’d visited this morning. The photos were breathtakingly intimate, capturing moments that seemed to belong to a couple deeply in love.
