Volume 3: The Tower of Blood
Chapter 8: The Devourer's Judgment
The assassin turned on his heel, sprinting as fast as his legs would carry him. His heart thundered in his chest, his instincts screaming to escape this monster in human form.
But Lee Hwan wasn't done.
He raised his right hand. Aura surged around his palm, twisting into the shape of a massive dragon's head made entirely of blazing energy—burning blue with streaks of red.
"Dragon Devourer."
The air cracked. From Lee's hand, an aura dragon burst forth like a divine beast breaking from the heavens. It roared across the ruined city, its open jaws devouring everything in its path—stone, wind, and light.
The assassin had only a second to look back.
"N—!"
The aura dragon swallowed him whole.
There was no scream, no blood. Only a burst of particles as the assassin was absorbed completely.
A golden notification appeared in front of Lee:
Ding! [Dragon Devourer] absorbed the target.

Lee smirked. "Shadow Warp."

"Not bad," he muttered, glancing at his hand as the new skill embedded into his aura. "Now I can hunt them before they run."
His guild members stared, dumbfounded.
"You absorbed him?" one of them whispered.
"No," Lee replied calmly. "I devoured him."
And with that, he turned toward the heart of the abandoned city. "Let's move. If one assassin found us, more will come. Time to show this world what the new guild can do."
