Chaper 2: Understanding The Power

With a resounding headache Angel wakes up, looking around he noticed he was in a luxurious room. While pondering what's going to happen with him next he gets a sudden influx of words that pop in his head.

'You are the true master of souls, he who manipulates them and conforms them to your will this is who you are ,devour all the essence of this world for that is your true path.'

'What was that and why did it sound so ominous.' Said Angel trying to decipher what those words meant.

He decides to get up and go through the door to the left of the bedroom as he opens it he finds out it's the bathroom. 

"Thank god I've been holding it in" he rushes into the bathroom facilities to wash up and relieve himself.

As he was going to washed his hands he looked into the mirror and noticed his eyes are now purple and his brown hair was now darker than an abyss.

"I need to figure out what this power is and how to use it , hopefully those people will explain." Said Angel while thoroughly examining his reflection.

Finished with the bathroom he goes to the other door in the bedroom and finds himself staring at two men waiting for him in the hallway.

"Come with us the master and lady are waiting for you" said one of the men.

While walking behind one of the men Angel's eyes started to glow. He could see that man in front of him had a white aura surrounding himself.

Suddenly Angel felt a hunger while staring at the aura. He raised his hand without even noticing what he was doing, reaching for the man. Just as he was about to touch him the man behind him spoke up.

"Hey kid what's the matter do you need something" said the man thinking Angel was trying to ask for something. Snapping out his trance Angel dropped his arm .

"Oh sorry I was just stretching my arm it was feeling a little sore." replied Angel who looked back and saw the same white aura on the man behind him.

While pondering what that aura was they finally reached the main lobby. Waiting there was Maria and Victor.

"Glad to see you are finally up" said Maria 

"What is your name boy" Victor asked sternly

"Angel Vazquez" he replied as he analyzed the auras around the two people.

Both auras around them was far more stronger than the two men who escorted him. Maria had a blue aura that flowed smoothly around her and Victor's was a yellow shade crackling like lighting around his body.

"Listen up we will now be explaining to you what animus you have awoken and how our world works" Victor started to explain what this power he obtained was.

Animus can be categorized into 7 different types.

Elementums who are able to control the elements such as fire, water , earth,wind or even space itself.

Animalis are people who awaken the path of spirit beast able to both use their power and transform into them.

Virtus can enhance their physical traits using animus.

Artifex are those whose souls seek to create their responsible for most inventions in Novus.

Vitalis can use the life force to create miracles.

Morbitus who oppose the Vitalis tap into the power of death.

Lastly is the category you fall into the ignoratus also known as the unknown.

"What is an unknown?" Asked Angel

"Unknown are animus users who have unique abilities that can't be categorized." Maria answered while giggling.

" Being an unknown can be a blessing or a curse, but that's for you to find out for we cannot help you in figuring out your abilities." Said Victor
