Chapter 3: Initiation

"Now time for you to be initiated into the Spectral Wolves then you will be sent to Novus."Said Victor as he walked to the side of the room to get something.

"What is Novus I seem to remember it being mentioned earlier." Noah replied while thinking to himself. 'Spectral wolves so that's the name of their organization.'

"Novus is another world connected to Earth, its lands and oceans are so vast that many other races live there." Maria informed him.

Victor came back with a branding iron and told him " You'll find out about everything as soon as your initiation is done."

The head of the branding iron was the same shape of the tattoos that both of them had. For some reason Angel was getting an unpleasant feeling from the rod.

Victor walked towards him and told him to take off his shirt.

"What exactly are you planning to do to me." He asked nervously 

"Every member that joins us has to be branded" Victor said as he got closer to him

Angel's eyes glowed he knew this man wasn't telling the truth.

'I can't let them mark me I have a suspicion that if they do I'm never getting free.' He starts to back away but he forgot about the two men behind him.They grabbed him by both arms letting Victor get right in front of him.

Maria comes and rips his shirt apart showing Angel's frail physique. Victor pushes the iron rod head against his chest. 

"In aeturnum servitus ad nos" Victor chanted out

For ever in servitude to us…

Suddenly the rod glowed and a searing pain could be felt deep in his soul.

'Arghhhhhhhhhhh… someone help please.' He pleaded 

Out of nowhere the pain stopped and a refreshing feeling comes over him. Soul engraving that's what they were doing to him and now he was capable of it too. Victor took back the branding rod and looked at the tattoo on his chest.

"Welcome to the spectral wolves kid" Maria said happily

"There are three rules you'll have to abide by as a member, if any of those rules are broken your soul mark will kill you." Victor explains

1. Betrayal of any form is not permitted you shall not release any information pertaining to the spectral wolves

2. Anything required by the organization shall be completed

3. Any relics or treasures found in Novus belongs to the organization

Angel held back his anger and asked "When can we go to Novus."

"The teleportation gate will be ready in an hour go wait in your room till then." Victor replied

'I will destroy them and take everything they have' Angel promised with a burning anger in his chest

Returning to his room Angel tried to figure out how to use soul engraving.

'From what I've figured out my power coincides with souls, not only was I not affected by the soul engraving but I was able to absorb it'

'Soul engraving the first ability I've acquired , can only be use on those whose animus is weaker than myself.'

'I wonder if it'll work on one of those guys out there I'm pretty sure neither of them are awaken'

While pondering in his head he starts chanting the same words Victor did.

"In aeturnum servitus ad nos." His hand started to glow purple.

'Guess I'll have to test out my theory'

Opening to the door to the hallway he sees that only one of the men was there.

"Where did the other guy go?" Asked Angel

"He went to escort the others for initiation, what do you need?" He questioned In an annoyed tone

"My toilet is clogged I was wondering if you can take a look hehe" Angel laughed

" Do I look like a janitor do it yourself" he responded with a scoff

"Do we have a janitor?" Angel asked trying to piss him off

" No, now get back in your room I'll let you know when we are ready to leave." Done entertaining him he turns back to the hallway

'Sigh… guess I'll try using it later' Angel went back to his room to laid down and plan what he needs to do next.
