Chapter 4: New World

An hour passed by fast and a knocked was heard at the door. Angel goes to open it to see the same two guys waiting for him outside. The black haired guy that Angel previously talked to spoke up.

"Come it's time"

The anxious boy walked out his room and followed them to the basement where Victor and Maria were waiting along with 2 other guards and 3 kids. One of them was the boy who was the first to awaken his animus,next to him was Emilio who Angel was familiar with and the last one was a boy who from what Angel remembered was last to line up for the awakening.

Angel's eyes glowed to look at their aura's. The boy to first awaken had an aura that was vibrant green brimming with life.

'He must be a Vitalis his aura feels comforting as if it's trying to soothe me.'

Emilio's aura was solid brown and stable as a rock. Showing signs of an Earth Elementum. And then was last boy the aura that surrounded him was orange except it was in the form of bull that was ferociously mooing.

'Woah that's new, he's definitely an animalis wonder what kind of spirit beast powers he's awakened.'

After a quick analysis of the others auras, Angel's attention went back to Victor who was explaining the process of the teleportation gate.

"One by one you shall step through the portal, on the other side there will be other members waiting for you , as we will not be coming with you I wish you all good luck with your adventures and may you bring prosperity to the shadow wolves."

The gate was a platform that had stairs leading to two pylons with a circular ring at its center. The pylons seems to be conducting energy to power the circular ring. A whirlpool of blue energy seem to encompass the whole ring.

"Angel since you were the first one to awaken why don't you go first" said Maria

'Dumb reason to go first but whatever' he thought to himself

Stepping up to the platform, he goes up the steps and as he gets closer to ring a feeling of hunger comes over him again. He goes into a trance again while standing in front of the portal he reaches out to touch it.

Suddenly he was sucked into the portal ring and he disappeared but what nobody expected was for the gate ring powered down as if it had lost all its energy power.

Angel who didn't know what was going on appeared in the middle of a forest.

"What the heck just happened"

He looked around confused but saw no one even though he was told people would be waiting for him.

"Hmm what's this why do I feel like a can sense everything around me. "

Then in his mind another influx of information popped up. He had learned a new skill and his guess was that it came from him interacting with the gate.

Spacial Perception: Allows you to understand the layout of space in your surroundings. Able to clearly sense your surroundings beyond your field of sight

'Nice I finally have a useful ability hopefully it can help me get out of here as I don't know where I am'

He used his spacial perception which extended to a range of 100m.

"I can see in every direction as far as a football field this is so awesome." Angel said excitedly

Now he has to figure out how to get out of here and find the nearest place of civilization. He had no plans of returning to the shadow wolves as they had tried to force him into servitude luckily for him they failed to enslave him with the soul engraving . Although he still had that dumb tattoo on his chest.

'Wonder if the have laser tattoo removal in this world' he thought while looking at the around.

As he was choosing which way to go he suddenly sensed something in his field of perception. Behind him could sense a frog that was about the size of a cat jumping around while heading in his direction.

Panicking at seeing such a huge frog Angel ran the other way but as he move towards his front he picked up on another creature in his range. It was a rabbit with a horn on its head. It was feeding on a patch of grass.

'Well he looks more harmless than the frog let me try to get close to it and see if I can find out what kind of creature this is.' thought Angel.

He walked about 70 meters until he was close enough to see it. His eyes started to glow and he saw that inside it was a core that glowed white instantly he knew this was a spirit beast.

Sporit beast were animals who had awaken their souls like humans but instead of animus they have spirit cores those cores house the very essence of their souls giving them supernatural abilities.

'I wonder if I can enslave it with soul engraving'

'I might as well try I need to have something to defend myself out here as I have not gained any attacking abilities and my only options are to run if I meet with danger.'

With a determined looked he approached the rabbit slowly. He built his courage up for what he was about to do. As he got closer and closer he got quieter and quieter as rabbits tend to have sensitive hearing. He stopped when he was 9 meters away. Readying himself he got into a sprinting stance he burst forth towards the rabbit.

The horned creature who was enjoying the patch of grass suddenly went into high alert as if had sense danger. It turned around to see a human sprinting towards it. Angry at the boy who ruined his meal it pointed his horn towards the boy and then it started to glow. The horn charged for less than three seconds before a white spike of energy shot out of it.

Angel who was five meters away saw the rabbit angrily look his way and then point the horn towards him. When the rabbit shot out that white spike of energy he was able to somehow time a dodge using his spacial perception. He rolled to his left at the last second just barely dodging. Stabilizing his stance Angel resumed his sprint towards the rabbit that was as closed as four meters.

The rabbit seeing as it didn't have the time to charge up another attack jump towards Angel aiming its spike horn towards his stomach.

Seeing the frontal assault Angel fully concentrated his perception between the rabbit and himself to time his dodge at the right time. And just as the rabbit was a meter away he moved to the right.

With the rabbit losing its target midair it panicked and tried to changed trajectory but it was to late Angel grabbed it.Already feeling a strong resistance from the rabbit he quickly chanted.

"In aeturnum servitus ad nos" his hand started to glow purple and the rabbit shriek.

It sounded like a child that was in horrific pain. As shook fiercely in Angel's arm. After 5 seconds of fierce struggle it calmed down and became more docile.

'I wonder if it can understand me'

He put down the rabbit and put out his hand. "Give me your foot"

The rabbit extended its front right foot and put it on Angel's palm.

"Good now that I know you can understand me from now on you will follow me and protect me to the best of your abilities."

The rabbit understood its new master and shook his head in agreement as to let him know he understands.

"Good now let's go explore this new world"
