Chapter 9: To the Skies

Near the base was an airfield. Faelix and Angel stopped at the designated stop ,waiting for the airship.

"So can I know what that danger zone is all about?" Angel asked while they stood waiting

"I can tell you since it's public knowledge, in Silvaria spirit beast roam all around mostly low tier ones but danger zones are areas with large amounts of high ranked spirit beast."

Faelix then looked at Angel seriously "The fact that you came out of there surprised me and the other guys back at the guard post, since someone who just awakened shouldn't be able to have survived in a danger zone."

"How strong are the spirit beast in there?" Asked Angel

"In the outer perimeter which I'm guessing is where you were teleported to, spirit beast levels range from 1 to 3 but the deeper you go the stronger the spirit beast and there's a rumor about a transcendent rank spirit beast that rules the inner most part of the danger zone."

'Thank god I was able to get out that forest or I would've definitely died." Angel thought nervously thinking how lucky he was to not have run into stronger beast."

Angel pulled out Hopper's core from his pocket and asked "Can you tell me the rank of this spirit core?"

Grabbing the core Faelix inspected it, then handed it back to Angel "From the amount of Soul essence coming from the core it feels like it's a level 2 spirit core from a spirit beast that had just evolved."

"Did it come from a beast you killed" Faelix asked impressed that Angel managed to attain a level 2 core

Looking at the core with a frown Angel replied "No I found it on the body of a dead spirit beast I came across."

'That means Hopper had just evolved.' Angel thought back to when Hopper transformed after he ate those two fruits.

'Which means that stupid chicken was probably a high level 2 or even a level 3 spirit beast.' Angel thought back to the bird he had killed

Noticing his expression Faelix didn't pry anymore.

Suddenly they heard a humming sound in the sky. Approaching the airfield was a large sleek ship.

Angel's eyes started to glow and around the ship he saw what looked like runes on the ship's surface glowing and interconnected, covering the ship was a protective barrier.

"Beautiful " he muttered admiring the intricacies of the runes on the ship.

"If you think these ships are beautiful you should see the ones at the at the capital." Faelix commented thinking Angel was admiring the ship.

Once the ship landed a hole opened up at the side and a stairway descended towards the ground.

Angel waited alongside Faelix watching people come out the ship.

Watching the men and women come out the ship Angel could see that they were all fitted with armor and weapons.

"Are all of them mercenaries" asked Angel

"There should also be some adventurers among them as some of them take quest that lead to the danger zone but most are mercenaries hired by the military."

"Hey Faelix what's your sorry ass doing down there."

Angel looked up and saw a man on the ship looking down while smiling. He looked to be in his early 30's with blond hair and pale green eyes.

Faelix looked up and said with a smile "I was waiting to see if you crashed the airship again."

"That was one time and it wasn't my fault we were attacked by a level 5 NetherCrow!" The man shouted angrily

"Yeah yeah whatever I need a favor Zephyr." Faelix replied

"What do you need this time?" asked Zaphyr annoyed

Faelix patted Angel's shoulder and asked "This is Angel i was hoping you can take him back to the city and help him get settled there."

Zephyr looked at the boy and said " Sure but you owe me one, hop in kid the ship leaves in 15 mins."

"Go on Angel you can trust Zephyr he's the captain of the ship and a good friend of mine."

Angel said his goodbyes while thanking Faelix for his help.

He proceeded to then board the ship.

The interior of the ship was big with a large lounge for passengers to sit and wait. Zephyr said their was two other levels to the ship , one was above the lounge were the crew worked and below was the sleep deck for those who need to rest.

Lounge had seats going around the room and in the middle of the room was holographic screens showing the outside view.

Angel took a seat in the corner of the lounge and waited for the ship to take off.

Couple of people boarded the ship and when the time was up the airship took off from the airfield.

As Angel sat there watching the view of the outside he could see that the area they were in was covered by trees with nothing else in sight.

Sometimes some birds would attack the ship with lighting or wind blades but the ship's protective barrier blocked all those attacks.

While sitting peacefully there watching the view Angel started to fall asleep so he decided get up and go to the sleep deck to rest.

He found his down and looked for a room that was unoccupied.

The room was about 350 squared meters with a full size bed and a couch, to the left of the room was a door that lead to a bathroom.

Falling onto the bed Angel yawn and closed his eyes drifting into sleep.
