Chapter 8: Guilds

Faelix started to extensively explain "Mercenaries are pretty much hired soldiers they are part of the Mercenary Guild, they sometimes come to the base on jobs to help in clearing the danger zone."

"Mercenary guild?" Questioned Angel

"Silvaria has a system of guilds to provide help citizens with specific requirements other than the mercenary guild we have 6 other guilds ."

"The Adventurers Guild takes on jobs which may take you anywhere even other continents."

"The Crafting Guild makes weapons, armors and many other gadgets, that's where I got that translation orb that I gave you. And my spirit weapon" he said patting his sword

"The Healer guild help anyone in need of treatment from illness or injuries, it's mostly ran by Vitalis."

"Merchant guild where you can buy and sell anything or even attend their auctions where you might acquire treasures."

"Alchemy Guild makes potions and pills."

"Assassins Guild hunt down criminals who were not dealt with by the authorities."

"How can I join a guild?" asked Angel

"Are you planning to join a guild?."

"Yeah I'm thinking of joining the adventurers guild."

"Well that should be easy since the mercenary guild accepts all awaken."

"The other guilds don't?"

"Other than the merchant guild that's run by the Silvarian Empire the other guilds have more strict rules to join."

"The whole continent is ruled by one faction?"

"Thats right the Silvarian Emperor who rules the center most part of the continent has split the continent into 13 parts each ruled by a vassal family."

"What family rules where we are currently on?"

"The Ignius family rules the Flamma Kingdom where we are currently in. They are a family of elementums with a strong affinity to fire."

Sighing he added "Those red haired bastards have a very nasty temper so be very careful if you ever run into them, and do not tell anyone I said that."

'Red haired' Angel thought about the man he followed before.

"Have you met any of them before?" Angel asked Faelix who seemed annoyed

"Yeah before you came to the checkpoint one of those bastards passed through and made a big fuss about having to identify himself to pass through." Faelix seemed exasperated just from retelling the story

"Okay let's forgot about all that and go back to talking about how I can join a guild." Said Angel swing Faelix getting exasperated.

"Right right sorry, so other than having to be an awaken you also have to have the strength to beat a level 2 spirit beast to be able to join the adventurers guild."

"How strong is a level 2 spirit beast?" Angel asked

"A spirit beasts strength is ranked from 1 to 9."

"Each level represents how many times they've evolved their spirit cores gaining not only strength but new abilities in the process."

"Do awaken have a ranking system?"

"Nobody taught you anything about awaken?" Faelix asked confused

"I awakened recently and wasn't taught much before I ended up here."

"Makes sense, do you know about the different types of animus?"

Nodding in response "I do."

"Well like the spirit core of a spirit beast our animus also evolves in a similar manner."

Level 1 = Neophyte

Level 2= Initiate

Level 3= Adept

Level 4 = Ascendant

Level 5= Manifestation

Level 6= Quintessence

Level 7 =Paragon

Level 8=Transcendent

Level 9= True Soul

"How can I evolve my animus?" Angel asked

"Depends on the type you have but let's save those questions for later we're almost at the airship waypoint."

Angel nodded as he was satisfied with all the knowledge he's acquired today.
