“Why don't you head inside while I park the car?” Adrian suggested as we pulled to a stop in front of Starlight's building.


 I nodded in agreement. “Okay. I'll wait for you in the lobby,” I told him before I exited the car and headed inside.


The lobby was empty except for the security guards, and I immediately headed toward the reception area. 


“Hi,” I greeted the lady behind the counter. “I have an appointment with Amanda Price.” Luckily, Amanda had been available to meet with me this morning. I waited for the receptionist to check me in and dug through my purse for my phone. Adrian had gotten me a new one after I had tossed my old one against the wall. Adrian was right—I really did need to stop taking out my frustrations on defenseless objects.
