Letisha’s POV
“I think it was a success,” I muttered excitedly in the wake of Amanda’s departure into the building. Even after she went inside, there was still a buzz of excitement in the air.
We were still outside. Due to the mob of reporters Amanda’s arrival had drawn, a small gathering of other guests was waiting to go inside as well.
Adrian and I hung back toward the back of the crowd so I could get a good view of their reactions. It was safe to say they loved it.
“It was a success,” Adrian said, his voice sounding close to my ear. A shiver skittered down my spine. His hand at the small of my back felt like a subconscious act, but I was as aware of it as I was of how close he was standing to my back.
“Congratulations.”
I glanced over my shoulder at him. “Don’t you think that’s a bit premature?”
“Not at all,” he answered with a shake of his head. “You’re going to be a very busy designer soon.”
