“Cutting off their supply chain is the swiftest, most effective way to put an end to them,” I told Mason.
“I feel like we could have had this conversation at a decent time,” Mason complained, even while I heard the tapping of his keyboard in the background.
He had a point. It was after three in the morning. Not exactly the ideal time to plan the best method to bankrupt a company. But it was either this or hunt Michael Gillan down so I could end his miserable existence.
“I was so scared…”
My hand tightened around the cell phone, and I fought against the burning anger that simply wouldn’t go away. I never wanted to hear those words from my wife’s lips again. And I wouldn't be able to get rid of this seething anger until I ruined the life of the man responsible for them.
“Do you plan on having the leftovers?” Mason asked.
