Plan B

Lena:

Ryan sits in front of me in silence for a while. He's trying to figure out a way to make sense of what I'm asking. I know, it's crazy. Why would he trust me? But I need him to.

“Look, I'm not trying to trick you in any way, if that's what you're thinking. I really want to help you.”

“I'm just finding it hard to believe you received some divine revelation and you want to get revenge on everyone and everything. So, tell me. What do you want in exchange for your help?”

Bingo.

“All I ask is to not get fired after the two weeks I have left of my contract. You can hire me as anything else, I don't care, I'll do it. And in return, I can give you valuable information about the rest of your targets.”

“And what makes you think I don't have access to that kind of information?” His enigmatic question makes me hesitate. He's got a good point.

“Who could you have on your side that could know every detail and every secret, of their lives, except me?”
