DDDS: Chapter 248

Ryuji's reaction to Shinobu was perfectly normal; when someone tries to kill you, you don't exactly show them courtesy, even if they're a beautiful woman.

"You're awfully domineering," Shinobu said, somewhat exasperated. She hadn't expected Ryuji to be even more difficult than Giyu Tomioka.

The tension broke when a crow suddenly circled above them, croaking, "Bring Ryuji, Tanjiro, and Nezuko back to headquarters immediately! No mistakes! Bring them back!"

"Ryuji, wearing a blue robe with water patterns, with white hair!"

"Tanjiro, wearing a checkered robe, with a scar on his forehead!"

"Nezuko, a demon girl, with a bamboo muzzle!"

The crow circled, repeating the instructions.

Hearing the crow's instructions, Shinobu stroked Ryuji's hand, smiling. "So, your name is Ryuji! It seems I won't die. You have to come back to headquarters with me!"

Ryuji released Shinobu, stood, and sheathed his Nichirin Blade.

Though unsure of the Demon Slayer Corps' intentions, Ryuji was prepared for whatever lay ahead.

Released, Shinobu stood, brushing off the dirt.

Ryuji ignored Shinobu, kneeling to heal Tanjiro and Nezuko using Wood Breathing.

He placed his hands on their backs, steadily infusing them with gentle, life-giving energy.

Giyu and Shinobu were captivated, sensing the potent life force emanating from Ryuji's hands. They'd never seen such an unconventional healing method.

"Giyu, did your master teach him that? Why haven't you used it?" Shinobu asked.

Giyu shook his head. "It's his unique ability, not something he learned from my master!"

Shinobu agreed. If Ryuji had learned it from his master, she would have known.

"I like him more and more," Shinobu murmured.

Ryuji heard but ignored them, focusing on healing Tanjiro and Nezuko.

Nezuko, being a demon, healed quickly. With Ryuji's help, she soon awoke.

Ryuji stopped, picked up the cedarwood box Tanjiro had been using, and placed it before Nezuko. "Nezuko, rest. I'll handle the rest."

Though not related by blood, Nezuko felt a deep affection for Ryuji, like a daughter to a father.

Nezuko obeyed, shrinking and entering the box.

Ryuji closed the box, activated Demonification, and used {Spider Thread Manipulation} to securely wrap the box in webbing.
