Chapter 10

My sister's eyes had gone blind. Every day, she sat motionless by the window, lost in her thoughts.

Meanwhile, David had been locked in the dungeon by Emily and gone mad.

He cried and wailed daily, clutching a brick.

"Emily, look at our child!"

Later, a crippled beggar with a missing hand appeared in the refugee camp at the border.

Because he bore a striking resemblance to a certain commander's late husband, someone had thrown acid on him.

The garrison soldiers announced to the public that he was an extremist with a very bad influence.

The attacker looked remarkably similar to a beggar in the refugee camp.

And that beggar often went before the commander, behaving despicably.

"Even before death, he tries to seduce a married woman. Looking so much like him, it's a disgrace to the commander's husband's reputation!"

"He deserves it!"

I recalled the scheme I had set up years ago.
