Chapter 18 Ceremony

While pulling ,Shether opened the door with her other hand and entered the office with Lalith. Surprised to see the newly built office of vice ceo, more spacious and classy than CEO's.

"WHAT IS THIS?" High pitched voice of Shether echoed "Sure enough, upto the level of a world class designer." Shether observed the entire office inch by inch, admiring with her whole heart.

Lalith who was also observing the surroundings scoffed; " Shether you are the also in top ten list of designer. Did you forgot?" She mocked Shether at her extreme reaction.

"How's that same? No one care about me at all." Shether pretend to be sad.

"Fine, fine. I will let you attend the next month's ceremony on behalf of me. But you have to promise me to be safe there and Adam would be going with you." Lalith compromised by Shether's sad tone knowing all about the reason.

"Really, thank you Aster. You are the best. And I promise to be safe there." Shether sweared with her hands raised; " what? Ohh sorry… I mean Lalith." Shether corrected her mistakes facing the stern faced Lalith.

Lalith was aware of her identity as Aster. It is controversial for sure to reveal. Because many people knew that Aster was connected to the Sanver group two years ago.

Although it was only the connection known not the involvement but to be on safe side she didn't reveal her face as Aster to many people. Only her trusted people from the Sanver group and her few loyal friends knew including Shether.

The next month's ceremony was all about the gathering of elites and strongest people. Lalith was not interested, so she declined but Shether knew the importance and wanted to represent her. Adam also wanted to attend the ceremony because of his face as the representative of Sanver Group. Thus she thought of making Shether to go there with Adam.

"Wait! Why did I came here ?" Shether suddenly realised the forgotten matter ; "Lalith, you want me to distract from the topic? Not in this life okay. Tell me all about the things that happened in the conference room. What family? Which family? Are they finally came back to their senses." Shether was sitting on the couch with Lalith, questioned her with seriousness in her eyes. All her childishness were gone once it was about Lalith.

Looking at Shether's expression, Lalith smiled and felt happy to have at least one loyal friend who cares for her with her whole heart. Tapping at the back of Shether's palm , she parted her lips;

"Shether, I got married yesterday."

"WHAT?"

Shether's mind exploded with a boom after just a single sentence from Lalith. It was really a loud voice this time not the pretence. Shether was not surprised but shocked.

"Got…..got married? How? Was that your scumbug fiancé?" She questioned Lalith grabbing her both arms.

"No." Lalith shook her head and looking down she replied in low voice ; " Zydus Morgan. He was Zydus Morgan." Not getting any reaction or reply Lalith looked up to see the expression on Shether. Shether's eyes all widened looking at Lalith with shock and mouth opened, as if she just saw a ghost.

"Shether" Lalith called her out to get her senses back , when Shether finally responded; "Lalith, you just faced a big incident, so you are imagining things, I guess." Shether said comforting herself to not hearing the satan's name from her only friend's mouth.

Shether knew how demonic and evil the name of the Morgan family's prince is and how he did things without any emotions and how cruel he can be. He is a satan. How can Lalith get connected to him? Shether thought for her comfort.

Shether looked at her friend deeply to confirm her thoughts, but the seriousness and truth in Lalith eyes made her loosen her grip on Lalith's arms. Slumping on the couch, Shether took deep breaths before turning to Lalith.

"Are you sure?" She asked once again and Lalith nodded. " So, the family who reported against the Windy was him?" Shether asked in exhausted voice. Seeing Lalith nodded, Shether closed her eyes in despair.

"Lalith, Lalith, Lalith. What have you done? Do you even know, how big of the problem you squeezed yourself in?" Shether looked at Lalith as if looking at an animal , who was going to sacrificed. Shaking her head , she dispelled her thoughts. " tell me first , how did you even met him?" She asked taking her palm in hers in worry.

Lalith told her the truth excluding the incident of heaven and gift she got. After listening all the truth form Lalith's mouth, Shether was sure that the devil tricked her friend without any way out.

"That bitch Windy! All of it was her fault and you had to sacrifice yourself." Shether was angry as well as felt sympathy for Lalith; " Zydus was not a name anyone can say? You know. He was famous for being cruel. Although I know you have the partnership with Adam but that was way beyond Zydus doings. He is an epitome of Satan."

Lalith was surprised to hear Shether talking about Zydus being cruel and evil. But the Zydus she knew was the one who care for her and loved her. She can see it in his eyes. The intense feelings he has for her is nothing to deny.

"I am sure you are not all wrong Shether but Zydus was the only one who helped me. Look what I have for him that other girls don't, still he married me. After meeting just once. And ... Sheth after the betrayal, I want to find someone who loved me first not the other way. I saw the feelings in his eyes for me. So I decided to give him and myself a chance." Lalith spoken her heart out and walked upto the window to avoid the scrutiny gaze of Shether.

Shether knew that she couldn't do anything now; "fine, let me know if he ever do anything bad to you. Although I am not a match to him but you should try to tackle him with your sexiness. If not then I will give you my shoulder to cry." Shether chuckled to lighten the atmosphere.

Lalith also chuckled at her silly talk without turning her head because her eyes caught something outside the window and on the road.
