Let One Die

Ever since the last time Liam had slipped into the state he called 'Nothingness', he had been trying to get into that same feeling again and again but he had always failed to do so. Soon, he came to understand that it wasn't something he could consciously do but only happened on rare occasions.

Fortunately, today was a rare occasion.

Clang!

As he parried Mika's stab with a small flick of his finger, he noticed Ruobing and Sara getting ready to fire at him— their arrows coated in ominous aura.

If it were the usual him, he'd have panicked and rolled away from the range— forfeiting a counterattack on Mika.

But now—

He calmly tilted his body, dodging both arrows with ease before grasping Mika's neck in a vice-like grip. The girl's eyes bulged in shock as her arms shot up to pull his arm away. Unfortunately, her strength wasn't enough.

"Sister!" Sara shouted in panic as she summoned a whip— deciding to engage Liam in close-combat.
