Population: 6,572. At least, that’s what the sign says. But I haven’t seen half those people in years.
I’ve lived in Elmwood my whole life. It’s quiet, tucked between dense woods and darker secrets. People vanish here—sometimes without a trace, sometimes leaving behind just enough to keep you awake at night. The town pretends everything’s fine. It’s not.
Lately, something’s changed. The air feels heavier. The nights stretch longer. And the things we used to whisper about? They’re not stories anymore.
I keep telling myself I’m going to leave. Bag packed. Car half-fueled. But every time I try, something stops me.
Maybe the town won’t let me go.
Or maybe I stop myself cause deep down… I want to solve these cold cases
Reviewing my own book… Shameless? Yes. But that’s besides the point. I really hope y’all enjoy the book, a lot of hours went into the book. Please leave a review to support me. Much love. ❤️🫠
This is one of the best books I've seen in a while, I really like how the horror and the mystery mix well together, you can feel the oppressive aura and that is very nice, not a lot of people do that as well as you do
I like Alex a lot, his like a father figure or elder brother Jade doesn't have, although I feel there are some details that could be reduced, like the fog, fog everywhere all the time lol
This pretty slick man, I just love how you make your dialogue flow at a nice pace. Your world building is also smooth, peaks the imagination. The life you give your characters makes me connect with them and feel relatable. Truly peak bruv

I wish there was a better update schedule cause the book is peak. It hits the the right spots, only issue i have with it is alex. I feel his abit tooooo overprotective for someone who he doesn’t know too much
