A frown made its way to my temples as I followed Grey, who, after turning on the corridor, was nowhere to be seen. Quickening my steps, I turned to the corridor where I last saw him and found him standing on the door of the first room we passed by. “This must be her room,” He said, without looking at me.
The frown on my forehead disappeared as I pulled into a stop beside him. At least he waited for me before entering the door. I thought to myself.
Grey didn't knock on the door, assuming someone was asleep and didn't want to disturb whoever it was. He turned the knob and pushed the door open. He didn't step inside right away, just what I expected him to do. Instead, he let me in first and he followed suit.
From behind me, I heard the door as it clicked close.
